Shopping Haul: Sephora

Recently I've hit up Sephora a few times and I thought it would be fun to share what I bought.  I'm sure that you'll be able to tell from my purchases that the sheet mask obsession is so real for me right now.  Below is my second Spring Sephora Haul.

I'm a big fan of the Sephora brand sheet masks - they're great quality and a good price at $6.00 each.  I originally bought this for my sister, but she didn't use it so I landed up stealing it the other night.  This mask uses algae to detox skin to make it look more radiant.  It helped me with some skin congestion I was experiencing without drying my skin out.  I think this would especially be good for the summer months when my skin needs a gentle cleaning.
Repurchase? Yes.

As I mentioned in my post last Wednesday this is my favorite sheet mask I've tried.  It brightens my skin without making it dry, which is an issue I've had with some other brightening masks.  In addition to not drying out my skin it does a great job at providing the extra hydration it needs.  It also tightens pores and gives your skin an all over glow.
Repurchase? Yes. This sheet mask actually comes in a five pack and I am planning on purchasing that because I love it so much!

I picked this up because of the good luck I've had with the other Sephora brand sheet masks.  The Avocado Sheet Mask is meant to nourish and repair skin.  I have super dry skin so I thought it would be great for that.  I haven't tried it yet, but check out my Snapchat @kthomp to see when I do!  (P.S. I document all my sheet masking on my Snapchat account!)
Repurchase? Not sure.  I haven't tried yet.

I was looking for a matte bronzer that would compliment my very fair skin and not make me look orange.  I did some research and several websites recommended this because it looks great on all skin tones - even the super pale.  I wanted a bronzer for the warmer months to warm up my complexion and to experiment with contouring.  I haven't worn bronzer in forever so I'm still playing around with this, but I like that the color is very buildable.
Repurchase? Not sure. I won't know if I'll repurchase until I use it more.

Since I love their sheet masks so much I figured trying the Sephora brand eye sheet masks was a no brainer.  The Algae Eye Mask tones and detoxes around the eyes to give them a fresh look.  I brought these to use before graduation because I knew that I would be tired coming off Senior Week.  I used these the night before the first ceremony and they helped to brighten the skin around my eyes.
Repurchase? Yes.

This made its way into my Must Have post from last week.  This has been a game changer for me and I am completely hooked on it!  Like I said in my previous post my eyelashes are naturally super long and my bottom lashes touch under my eyes, which means I've always had an issue with mascara flaking and rubbing off under my eyes.  I figured for Senior Ball and graduation I would give this a try so have to worry about wiping away flakes all the time and it worked amazing.  This is the only mascara I've ever used that actually stays on my bottom lashes until I take it off, which is a miracle for me.
Repurchase? YES!

I purchased this for my Mom.  I haven't used any MAKE UP FOR EVER products, but I had heard good things and their eyeshadows came in so many gorgeous colors so I turned to them when my Mom asked me for eyeshadow.  The color is actually lighter in person than online, but it is beautiful; it's a perfect base eyeshadow.  She loves the way it goes on and it has a nice subtle shimmer to it.
Repurchase? Yes.

This also made its way into my Must Have post from last week.  I purchased this as a highlighter to use when learning to contour; however, after I ordered it I read a lot of reviews that it wasn't a highlighter, but just a sparkle powder and I began to panic.  When it came in I figured I had to give it a try and if I didn't like it I would return it.  I was pleasantly surprised with how much I liked this though; I would categorize it as a light highlighter because it does deposit a highlighter color on my skin.  In addition to the color it has the most beautiful iridescent shimmer that I absolutely love!  My favorite part of this is the way it looks along the tops of cheekbones layered over blush.
RepurchaseYES!

First off I have to tell you that this sheet mask is actually pink, which is so fun!  The boscia sheet masks are hands down the best fitting sheet masks I've tried, they come in two pieces and because they are made of hydrogel (instead of paper like fibers that most sheet masks are made of) it molds to the shape of your face really well.  This mask was helpful when I was in need of some extra hydration and made my skin super smooth.  I loved it so much that I landed up going back and buying a second one for my Mom to try because she has super dry skin too.  Last week to prep for all the graduation pictures we knew we'd be taking we had a sheet mask night together and she loved this!
RepurchaseYes.

I had been waiting to try this for a while, but it's always sold out on Sephora's website because it's so popular.  Luckily when I ran into Sephora one day to get the Clinique mascara from above they had one so I had to get it!  It even won an Allure's Best of Beauty Award in 2015.  This mask gives your skin a major dose of water and does an amazing job of hydrating.  It's super refreshing and hydrates without clogging pores.  This mask is great for all skin types, even those who are acne prone or oily.
RepurchaseYes.

When I went to repurchase the Too Cool For School Egg Cream Sheet Mask the Sephora I was at was out so I decided to give this a try.  It's the same design as the boscia Tsubaki Oil Deep Hydration Hydrogel Mask and fit my face really well.  Although I liked the Too Cool For School Egg Cream Sheet Mask better I was overall a fan of this.  It brightened and hydrated my skin, but my favorite part was the dose of antioxidants it provides.
RepurchaseYes.

This mask not only hydrates skin, but it helps to strengthen the skin's moisture barrier as well.  Using this will help your skin to better hold in moisture in the future.  In addition to hydrating it also uses seaweed extract to purify skin.  I was really pleased with the results from using this and I could actually feel the difference in the hydration levels.
RepurchaseYes.

Shopping Haul: Sephora

A new season means a new Sephora Haul!  It's funny because I just realized that I've done some Sephora shopping at the start of every season recently, but it has not been planned out at all!  This time I stocked up on makeup, skincare, and hair products and I thought it would be fun to share with you what I purchased.

I was looking for a super bright pink matte lipstick and I wanted this one in Drive to Pink, but Sephora didn't have it and at the time it was sold out elsewhere so I decided to get this instead.  I wore it for the first time yesterday and to be honest I'm not sure if I'm going to land up keeping it.  I'm on the fence about it is because the color is not nearly as bright as it looks online or I wanted it to be.  It also doesn't have the color pay off I like in a lipstick, I had to put a lot on and I still felt like it was more sheer than other matte lipsticks I've used.  I'm going to wear it again today and see how I feel about it, but if I don't like it better I think I'm going to return it and get the one I originally wanted.

I usually use Benefit Cosmetics Coralista Blush, but I've been noticing recently that I need a lot to get it to show up and it disappears on my skin rather quickly.  I'm almost out of it so I decided to try something different that will hopefully last longer.  I picked this because it wears for twelve hours(!), and has benefits for all skin types.  I haven't worn it yet, but I was playing around with it last night and I only need a small amount of blush to get the color I want on my cheeks and I love the color!

I've been eyeing the GLAMGLOW masks for a while and the last time I was in Sephora I got a sample of the THIRSTYMUD Hydrating Treatment to help with my super dry skin.  After using my sample I was seriously impressed - it really helped with dryness, toned my skin, and smelled amazing.  I decided to purchase this set because it was the same price as the mask alone, but you get a full size THIRSTYMUD, a SUPERMUD Clearing Treatment, a THIRSTYCLEANSE Hydrating Cleanser, and an applicator brush.  In addition to using the mask, I've also been using the THIRSTYCLEANSE Hydrating Cleanser, which cleans my face without drying it out.  I haven't tried the SUPERMUD yet because the winter dries my skin out, but I can't wait to try it soon!

I actually purchased this for my Mom as a part of her birthday present, but I use it too and actually got her hooked on it!  This styling aid "provides volume, smoothness, conditioning, strength, and polish in one easy step."  I put this on damp hair before styling.  I love how it helps to prevent frizz and keeps my hair looking soft and polished until I wash it again.  You also only need a small amount of product so the bottle lasts for a long time!

Shopping Haul: Sephora

I've always loved Sephora, but in the past couple of months I've become really obsessed with shopping there.  I find myself shopping at Sephora more than I do anywhere or for anything else these days.  Earlier in the month I did a little damage and I thought it would be fun to share what I purchased!

This is hands down the coolest exfoliant I have ever used!  You put a nickle size amount of the powder on your hand and when you add water it not only becomes an exfoliant, but it fizzes too. Nude Skincare focuses on healthy and natural skincare products and this wash features vitamin C, enzymes, and pure oils.  The ingredients combine to gently exfoliate your skin, leaving it super soft. I love this and will definitely be repurchasing it, but not anytime soon because the bottle is pretty big!

In case you can't tell I'm obsessed with Nude Skincare - their products just work so well!  I brought this because my skin has been incredibly dry from the winter.  This contains fig, honey, cupuaçu butter, and more to give your skin incredible hydration.  It also works to smooth the appearance of wrinkles, create a moisture barrier, and revitalize skin.  I've been using this for almost two weeks now and it has really helped with my incredibly dry skin.  I look forward to putting it on every night because it feels like it really nourishes and calms my skin.  If you're suffering from dry winter skin this is a must try. (Insider Tip: Go to any Sephora store and ask for a sample of this, they'll make you up one that should last for a few uses!)

I have yet to try this (I brought an individual mask), but I purchased it because I read an article (which of course I can't find) about how great it is at clearing out your pores.  It contains spearmint and charcoal, among other ingredients, that help to detoxify and tighten your pores.  For me blackheads are always a concern so I'm really excited to give this a try!

Oh my gosh I don't think I have ever hated a mascara more than this one!  I had heard great reviews on several different blogs about this and was really excited to try it, but was super disappointed with the results.  After having it on for less than three hours it was literally smeared all under my eyes like I had rubbed my eyes, but I hadn't touched them.  After the initial issue I wiped off all the mascara under my eyes thinking that it would be all better, but it continued to smear down my face all day and I had to keep cleaning it up.  By the end of the day I felt like it was all over my face and that I looked like Taylor Swift crying in the "Blank Space" music video; there was literally no mascara left on my bottom lashes because it had all come off throughout the day.  I had really high hopes for this and was sad that it didn't work out for me!

Shopping Haul: Sephora

Recently I needed a replacement brush for my Clarisonic Mia 3 and a new BB Cream so I headed to Sephora's website to do a little shopping.  Of course once I got to the website I found a few other items that I just had to get, does this ever happen to anyone else?  Below are the products that I picked up during my  mini Sephora shopping spree.

When Sephora came out with these sheet masks a couple months ago I picked up the Pearl and Honey Masks and loved both of them.  This time I went with the Pomegranate one because it "awakens, energizes, and protects the skin with antioxidant-rich natural pomegranate extract."  My skin has been seeming a little dull lately so I thought that this would help to perk it up.  I can't wait to use it and my tip for these masks is to put them on while you're taking a bath, then sit back to relax and enjoy!

I've been dying to try a sleeping mask and couldn't resist them at only $4.00 each!  I am obsessed with using honey for beauty so I couldn't resist purchasing this.  This mask is meant to nourish and balance your skin while you leave it on all night,.  I'm looking forward to using this in the winter when my skin is dry and in need of some serious nourishment.

Since I loved the Sephora Sheet Masks so much I knew that I had to give their sheet eye masks a try.  I have dark circles under my eye and the Pearl Mask is meant to help brighten the skin so that eyes appear lighter, so it was an easy choice for me.  I'm excited to see how these work and will definitely be doing a review on them!

Like I said before for only $4.00 each I couldn't resist these little pods filled with an overnight mask.  I also picked up the Lotus mask because it locks in water and minimizes the look of fatigued skin, both of which I think will benefit my skin in the fall and winter months.

For my BB Cream I originally purchased Sephora Collection Skin Perfect CC Cream in Fair because it was a great price and had gotten really good reviews, however when I used it it turned my skin completely orange so it had to go back.  I took it back in store and had one of the ladies that works at Sephora help me find something different, she recommended a few different BB Creams, but I fell in love with this one.  It is actually a 'BB Water' not a cream, that is super silky and moisturizing, and you only need one drop for your entire face.  They also had a great selection of colors and the fair matched my super fair skin perfectly.  I haven't actually had the chance to use it on my whole face yet, but this will definitely be getting a full review when I do!

I love the Deep Pore Brush Head for my Clarisonic, it exfoliates my skin very nicely and cleans out all of my pores.  I was happy to see that Sephora had the two pack because individually the brushes are $27.00 each, but in this pack they come to $22.00 each so I saved $10.00!  If you have a Clarisonic and haven't tried the Deep Pore Brush, I recommend doing so.

I love a super dark matte lip for fall and winter, which is exactly what this creates.  I got this specific lipstick because Jordyn wears it all the time and I'm always complimenting her on it so I figured I needed to get one for myself.  I've only worn it once so far, but I got so many compliments on it and am in love with it!

My mystylelab Haul

Have you been to Macy's lately?  If not you are missing out because they've seriously upped the ante.  The mystylelab (Macy’s female and male sections aimed at Millennials, that can be found in stores & on their website) is filled with all sorts of great brands that I was drooling over on a recent trip.  They are so serious about all the great lines that they have brought in they have launched the Macy's Campus Tour (www.macyscampustour.com) with the slogan "going from coast to coast with the brands you love."  This slogan is very true, & while wandering around the mystylelab there were so many great pieces that caught my eye.

With all the pretty pieces around you can imagine how excited I was that I had a $100 gift card (thanks to the Her Campus Blogger Network "Macy's Campus Tour" campaign) to spend!  So with all of the pieces that caught my eye I had to try on a million different things.

Among all the different brands, I was really drawn to the Bar III & Maison Jules lines in the mystylelab.  Bar III's pieces had a bit of an edge to them, while Maison Jules's are very romantic & girly.  After some time & careful consideration I finally decided on these pretty pieces.

Maison Jules (The dress is no longer online, but a dress with a similar cut is here.)

I did so well with all of the shopping, I was able to purchase $188 of clothing for just under $100 with all of Macy's amazing sales & offers.  I'm literally obsessed with each of these pieces.  I've been showing them off to all of my friends & cannot wait for it to warm up so I can wear them out!  (These pictures also come with a funny story: when I took these yesterday it was snowing so I wasn't going outside with anything less then 16 layers on, & then because it was a snow day I wasn't going anywhere so I didn't have any makeup on, so this was my photographer's (aka my Mom's) genius idea (which I loved).)

Aside from Maison Jules & Bar III, the vast range of mystylelab lines include American Rag, Material Girl, Levis, XOXO, & Jessica Simpson.  All of these lines have their own distinct style & I have a few favorite pieces from each!  If I had a little more money I surely would've picked up these pieces.

The best part about Macy's Campus Tour (#macyscampustour) is their Spin & Win Sweepstakes that will be taking place March 5th to March 30th.   For the contest, students log into the Macy’s App on their phone to spin a virtual spin wheel for a chance to win up to $500 in gift cards, & if that isn't cool enough all participants will automatically receive a 20% coupon!  You just have to download he Macy's App & click on the link for the Spin & Win Instant Game, & if this deal couldn't get any sweeter you can play up to five times a day!

So now that know that Macy's mystylelab is the ultimate destination for all your Spring fashion needs & beyond, you need to download that app so you can win some money or a discount for when you head to mystylelab to go shopping!

*I am participating in the Her Campus Blogger Network "Macy's Campus Tour" campaign.  I received a Macy's gift card to facilitate my post, however all opinions are my own.

Today I'm linking up with Glossy Blonde & Karly Kim.
