Met Gala 2019 Gowns

The first Monday in May is always my favorite day in May because of the Met Gala.  Every year this extravagant event is held for the opening of the Costume Institute's annual fashion exhibition at the Metropolitan Museum of Art and its red carpet is fashion's biggest night of the year.  This year's exhibition is "Camp: Notes on Fashion," which also served as the theme of the gala.  For this unique and daring theme so many celebrities really brought their A-game and ran with the inspiration.  There were so many amazing looks and below I have put together all of my favorites for The Blush Blonde Met Gala Best Dressed List.

Summer Skirt at Chi Lin

I shot this look that works for summer when I was in Hong Kong in February.  I'm loving that jean skirts are making a major comeback and landed up adding two to my closet (this one with embroidery and then another without it).  The great thing about jean skirts is that they go with so many things and are a nice change from jean shorts in the summer.  I paired mine with a simple tshirt and my favorite sneakers for an easy and effortless look.  While it's a little too warm for a jacket now it's a nice thing to grab on a cooler summer night to have in case you get chilly.

This look is especially great for all the summer exploring and traveling you might be doing.  It's both comfortable and stylish so you can walk around and take in your surroundings without having to make any sacrifices.  I know I'll definitely be making a few trips into New York City this summer and will probably wear this look at least once for that exact reason!

Met Gala 2018 Gowns

Every year I so look forward to the first Monday in May for one reason, the Met Gala.  This special event kicks off the opening of the Costume Institute's annual fashion exhibition at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. This year's exhibition is "Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination," and it also served as the theme of the gala.  As always this night was the perfect setting for celebrities to wear the most gorgeous, fashion centric pieces they desire and they did not disappoint.  Below I have put together all of my favorites for The Blush Blonde Met Gala Best Dressed List.
