D.I.Y. Peeps Bunny Crayons

When I saw this tutorial for Easter Bunny Crayons on MoonFrye, I knew I had to make my own.  I thought they would be a cute Easter treat to make and send to my little cousin!  I followed their instructions for the most part, but ended up putting my own spin on it.  I found an adorable Peeps mold at A.C. Moore, which was too perfect to make them in!  These crayons are great for any and all Easter crafts for the little ones in your life, and in my opinion they are also really fun to make.

Supplies:
-35 crayons (preferably in pastels and bright colors)
-Wilson Peeps Bunny Treat Mold

Instructions:
-Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
-Unwrap all crayons and break them into small pieces.
-Fill each mold with crayons, see picture below for how much to fill them.
-Place in oven and bake for 10 minutes.
-Remove from oven carefully, you do not want to mix up the melted crayons.
-Allow to completely cool.
-Gently remove each crayon from the molds.
-Enjoy!
~Use pictures for reference.

I was so happy with how these came out and will be definitely making more crayons in the future!  Do you have any fun Easter crafts?

Skin Care for When You're Sick

Unfortunately we are still very much in cold season and with Spring on its way (soon, please, I'm begging you) we have allergy season to look forward to as well.  When you're sick with a cold, suffering from allergies, or are just stuck with a constant runny nose (from something like the wind) you need to adjust your skin care to take care of skin issues that can come with all of this.  From dry skin to chapped lips to a bright red nose I have all you need to make sure that your skin suffering is minimal.

Even when your skin is dry and your nose is irritated you still need to wash your face.  This CeraVe Cleanser is extremely mild and will cleanse your skin without disrupting its protective barrier.  In addition to saving the protective barrier, ceramides work to moisturize the skin.  This will help to gently remove anything that could potentially clog your pores without causing further irritation.

I have talked about my love of this lotion on here a few times before because I really feel it is one of the best available.  CeraVe's website describes their skin saving technology as "uniquely formulated to increase the skin’s ability to attract, hold and distribute moisture. It penetrates deeply into the stratum corneum (the skin barrier) to restore the balance of essential lipids. This helps keep the skin barrier intact so it can limit moisture loss."  Using this lotion will help to put moisture back into your skin and combat further dryness and irritation.

I feel like I'm always talking about coconut oil, but that's because it really is that wonderful!  If your skin is really dry this will take moisturizing one step further than the CeraVe Lotion.  You can either apply this alone or mix it with the lotion.

When you're feeling sick or suffering from allergies chances are you have puffy eyes, and this cool gel will help to get rid of that.  With caffeine, mint, and a roller ball applicator it works to reduce puffiness and increase circulation.

Put this on before bed to keep your lips from getting chapped or to heal already chapped lips.  This is the only lip balm that stops my lips from getting horrible cracks and I religiously put it on every night, whether I am feeling sick or totally healthy.

When my nose is super irritated from constantly blowing it Neosporin is the only thing that can save it.  At night before I go to bed and periodically throughout the day I put this on my nose where it is irritated to soothe and heal it.  If my lips are feeling especially dry I will also layer this on top of the Neosporin Lip Therapy to really help them heal too.

Unfortunately being sick or suffering from allergies can suck in more way than one, but hopefully this can help you with your skin so that you have one less issue.  Is there anything that you feel really helps your skin when you have a cold?  Let me know below!

Girl Crush: Gigi Hadid

Lately it seems like Gigi Hadid has been everywhere, I had been noticing her for about a year now, but her presence has really increased lately.  This may have to do with the fact that her modeling work has steadily been increasing and right now it has really taken off with her work with Sports Illustrated, her new Maybelline contract, and more.  Gigi Hadid is pretty much perfect so today I'm confessing that she is latest my girl crush and telling you why!

1. She has incredible style.
Whether she's on the red carpet, between modeling jobs, or out with friends Gigi always looks chic. In addition to consistently looking fabulous, she is a style chameleon and always willing to try new looks, which really pays off.

2. She is absolutely gorgeous.
There is no denying that Gigi is one of the prettiest models around.  Of her good looks her portfolio on IMG says, "Hadid is an international hybrid of California-cool, all long blond tresses and sun-kissed skin, paired with exotic blue-green eyes and cherubic features, a reflection of her Palestinian parentage."

3. She's a good friend.
Ok, so I don't actually know this for a fact, but she is always surrounded by so many fabulous ladies that she just has to be a great friend!  Does anyone else want to be her newest bestie?!

4. She is very family oriented.
Gigi comes from a big family and seems to be quite close with them.  Her mother is Yolanda Foster, a former model and current Real Housewife, and her father is Mohamed Hadid, a real estate developer, both of who she is regularly seen with; her parents are divorced and her mother is remarried to David Foster, a music producer, who Gigi has been seen out with as well.  She has a younger sister and brother who are often featured on her Instagram, and several step siblings, above she is pictured with her step sister Sara and step niece Valentina.

5. She has been super successful.
Gigi is one of the top models of the moment and her success has been building over time.  In the past she has worked with Guess and Tom Ford, and for Spring 2015 she has campaigns with Guess, Seafolly, and Maybelline.  In addition to these contracts she has been featured in countless magazines such as Harper's Bazaar and Sports Illustrated, and is Vogue España's March covergirl.

6. She has an insane body.
With a body like this it's no wonder that Gigi has been in the last two Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Editions.  She has one of those model bodies that makes me want to run to the gym so I can get more toned and just into overall better shape.  I would seriously kill for abs like hers!

7. She's the perfect California girl.
Gigi hails from Los Angeles and just oozes West Coast coolness.  With her sandy blonde locks, sun kissed skin, and cool blue eyes she is the ideal California girl next door.  Her SoCal roots can also be seen at times in her fashion choices and are very apparent when she is at the beach.

8. She just seems really cool.
From what I've seen Gigi just seems like a really cool girl.  She seems happy with her life and career (how could she not be?!), and is definitely a star on the rise!

So now that you've heard why Gigi Hadid is my girl crush of the moment, let me know what you think below!

Oscars 2015 After Party Gowns

I honestly look forward to seeing the Oscars after party dresses almost as much as I do seeing the gowns on the red carpet.  However, the dresses for the after parties always up the ante when it comes to the sex appeal - the gowns get slinkier, the necklines get lower, and the slits get higher.  I've scoured all the party pictures and looked at countless dresses to bring you my best dressed after the Oscars.  (PS sorry it took forever!  Midterm week took its toll!)

Jennifer Lopez in Zuhair Murad Couture  |  Behati Prinsloo in Calvin Klein  |  Lupita Nyong'o in Calvin Klein  |  Chanel Iman in Zuhair Murad Couture

Natalie Portman in Dior  |  Diane Kruger in Donna Karan Atelier  |  Naomi Watts in Armani  |  Nina Dobrev in Reem Acra  |
Miranda Kerr in Emilio Pucci

Kat Dennings in Gemy Maalouf  |  SofĂa Vergara in Zuhair Murad  |  Jenna Dewan-Tatum in Zuhair Murad Couture  |  Molly Sims in Ezra Santos

Karlie Kloss in Atelier Versace  |  Rosie Huntington-Whiteley in Alexandre Vauthier  |  Petra Nemcova in Marchesa

Jennifer Lopez
Elie Saab  |  Zuhair Murad Couture

So now that you've seen all my favorites who were yours?  Most importantly who was your overall best dressed?  Let me know below, I'd love to hear!
