September 2016 on Instagram

Is it me or did September go by in the blink of an eye?!  For me the month was filled with super, super, super busy spouts, and then some time for relaxing.  I celebrated Labor Day, took a trip to Boston, went to a football game and more.  As usual I documented everything I did on Instagram and below I have a recap of my month in pictures.  If you're not following me (@theblushblonde) make sure to do that now!

I celebrated Labor Day by relaxing and having a delicious seafood dinner!  Steamers are my favorite and always feel so festive during the summer so it was only appropriate to close out the season with them.  My Mom and I had a little cookout with these and a fresh summer salad, both of which were delicious.  It was definitely a great end of summer meal!

At the end of August I went to Walgreens and spent $30.00 on September Issues because September is the most wonderful time of the year for fashion!  The biggest and most buzzed about issue is always Vogue and I loved this year's cover.  Here I paired it with one of my other favorite things during the month of September, which is one of my adorable new succulents.

I graduated from Villanova University in May, but at home I'm only an hour and fifteen minutes away from it.  At the beginning of the month my Dad and I decided to go there for the football home opener and my sister (who goes to school about fifteen minutes away) met us for dinner and came to the game with us too.  It was so great to be back, but also felt kind of strange at the same time!  The weirdest part was leaving after the game to go back home, not heading to my school apartment like I would've last year. Also all the little freshmen girls sitting in front of me at the game talking about orientation, sorority rush, and the freshman dining hall made me feel so old!

In the middle of the month I headed up to Boston for a super quick trip.  I love flying and always book the window seat so I can look outside when I want to (and don't have to get up for other people to use the bathroom!).  I was able to get this shot as we were coming into Logan International Airport and had to share it when we landed!

The reason I was in Boston was for this beautiful bride's wedding!  This is one of my good friends from school who I met freshman year.  She is one of the sweetest people I know and I was so happy to celebrate her and her now husband.  They both went to Villanova with me and have been dating since our freshman year so it was so exciting to be there at their wedding!  Not to mention they were my first friends who are my age that got married, which I feel like made it even more exciting.  To read a little bit more about our friendship check out the Instagram post here.

The reason my trip to Boston was so quick was because I had to get back to Philadelphia the night after the first wedding to go to this blushing bride's wedding!  This is one of my sorority sisters who I am very close with.  I also knew her now husband from Villanova too so this was another very exciting wedding for me to attend.  To read a little bit more about our friendship check out the Instagram post here.

Since my time in Boston was during such a busy weekend (I got there Thursday afternoon, had the wedding on Friday night about forty minutes outside the city, left super early Saturday morning, and had the next wedding on Saturday night) I didn't get to really share any pictures from my trip until the week after.  On Thursday night I was able to stay with one of my friends from college who is in grad school at Northeastern University.  She lives in the most adorable building (pictured here) and has the cutest apartment!  It was so great to see her and to get to spend some time together - I loved everything about my mini trip around Boston so much that I'm planning on going back soon!

This shot was taken for this blog post with Talaria Flats.  I love how this picture came out, especially the background.  We moved last month and this lake and dock are part of the complex we moved into.  I can't wait to go check it out when the leaves begin to really change because I know it will be gorgeous!

Right now I'm hosting an Instagram giveaway to celebrate fall!  I'm giving away $25.00 to Starbucks and it ends tonight at 5:00 PM EST.  Check out the post here to enter for your chance to win!

I took this on Saturday, when I was lounging in bed.  We've had week in New Jersey for almost a full week so I spent Saturday resting and cuddling with my dog, Coco.  I have some health problems and feel sicker when it rains so I listened to my body and took it easy, which isn't hard to do with a bed as comfy as mine!

August 2016 on Instagram

To say August was a busy month for me would be an understatement.  I moved into a new place at the beginning of the month, which was kind of crazy since it was under construction.  I spent the month helping my Mom with house decisions, decorating the new place, and attempting to help unpack.  While there's still a few things to be do we're done with big projects for now, which I am thankful for!  In between all of that I've made a few trips to Philly, spent some time appreciating the area I live in, and have even gotten to the pool a few times.  As usual I documented everything on Instagram and below I have a recap of my month in pictures.  If you're not following me (@theblushblonde) make sure to do that now!

In my bedroom at the new place I went with white walls and blonde wood floors.  In terms of interior design I love a light and airy look so I figured this would be the perfect setting for that.  However, I thought picking out white paint for the walls would be an easy task and I could not have been more wrong!  After mulling over what felt like a million white paint chips I am very happy with the color I (finally) chose.  I am also so in love with the flooring, which I know probably sounds odd, but it's even more beautiful in person!

The color scheme of my new room is white, pink, and gold so I was over the moon to find this pink succulent to go on my desk!  I had no clue succulents came in pink so finding this seriously made my day.  If you're looking for well priced succulents I recommend heading to Costco, my Mom and i have gotten a few from there and the selection is great!

This was taken at my favorite ice cream spot in Philadelphia, The Franklin Fountain, which is around the block from a doctor's office I go to a lot.  On this day I messed up the time of my appointment and we got there an hour early so my Mom and I decided to go get ice cream while we were waiting.  It was the most gorgeous day so we sat outside to eat our ice cream and had the whole place to ourselves.  We had to bring Coco (my dog) with us that day since there were construction workers at the house and she sat perfectly on my Mom's lap while we ate ice cream and I shared my cone with her (broke off a few little pieces and fed it to her), she was too cute!  It was such a fun and relaxing time we were happy I messed up the appointment time!

I cannot resist taking a picture of beautiful flowers!  This gorgeous bush of flowers was across the street from a place I was getting lunch at about ten minutes from my house so I had to get a shot of it.  It's making me sad the summer blooms are starting to disappear!

The big part of the renovations we've been doing in our new house is in the kitchen.  We didn't get countertops in there until ten days after we moved in and I took this picture right after they were installed.  For the design we went with white cabinets and countertops, and dark wood floors.  I am really happy with how everything came out and love our new kitchen!

I was so excited for the Olympics this past month and I loved how Vogue combined athletics and fashion with their August issue.  I'm also a huge fan of Gigi Hadid so I had to get a copy for myself!  On this day I was at home working on a few blog things and flipping through the magazine.

I got the most beautiful marble and gold table at HomeGoods for my bedside table.  I am so in love with it and got such a good deal on it, which makes it even better!  My room is still a mess because we had to make a few renovations to my closet, but I wanted to show off a part of my room that was kind of finished.  I have so much more to go, but I am having such a good time decorating my room and love finding unique pieces like this!

I've posted a lot of pictures of the church at my college before because it gorgeous and iconic, but I realized I had never shared a picture of my church from home before.  In my opinion this church is even more beautiful.  I'm not a super religious person, but this is the church I grew up in, which makes it special.  It's set on a lake, is over one hundred years old, and most of pieces used to make it came from Italy!

This is the pool at my Dad's place, which Coco and I have been to a few times in the past month.  I've been trying to get Coco to go swimming and have brought her in the water with me a few times, which has been so much fun!

I got this bralette from one of my favorite boutiques in Philadelphia, Smak Parlour, last week and couldn't wait to show it off.  I also wanted to share the Marc Jacobs Beauty Air Blush Soft Glow Duo I received from Influenster in Kink & Kisses; after I use it a few times I will definitely do a review of it on here for all of you!

So this was my August in pictures!  Come check me out on Instagram (@theblushblonde) and follow along with me to see more of what's here!  How was your month?

July 2016 on Instagram

Who else can't believe it's already August?!  I feel like I just started my summer and now it's coming to an end.  The really weird part about this month though is that I'm not going back to college, I've done that for the five years so it's definitely a big change.  I tried to lay low in July though and soak up as much summer relaxation as I could.  As usual I documented everything on Instagram and below I have a recap of my month in pictures.  If you're not following me (@theblushblonde) make sure to do that now!

The Silver Diner is a favorite of mine!  I'm usually not a diner person, but their healthy, natural, and local approach to diner food has made me a huge fan.  I have crazy food allergies and they use Breyer's Ice Cream, which I can actually eat, so every time I go there I need to get a milkshake!  This day I especially needed one because I had to fast that morning, get like eight vials of blood taken, and almost passed out so a sweet treat was a must.

These were my 4th of July weekend essentials!  Blue and white stripes with a red lips are a must to celebrate America!

My Happy 4th of July post!  Nothing more classic than a good old fashioned Coke.  The funny thing is though is that this is actually a Mexican Coke because American Coke is made with High Fructose Corn Syrup, which I'm allergic to, and Mexican Coke is made with cane sugar.  So the secrets out, I celebrated America's birthday with Mexican Coke.

One night my Mom and I went to our favorite little (tiny) seafood shop that sells takeout in the summer you can eat outside in a small picnic area.  We ordered all the super fried, greasy, amazing, delicious seafood we wanted and went to town on it with the gorgeous view.  We had a great time and the food and views were too good!

I've been trying to get back into exercising lately and this was my first day back at it.  I love to do Pilates and yoga to strengthen and tone my body, and get all the other amazing benefits exercise has to offer!

Sprinkles is one of my favorite places to go when I'm in New York City and I have been dying to try their ice cream for a while.  My Mom and I took an NYC day trip in July and finally getting some Sprinkles ice cream was high on my list of things to do.  This is red velvet ice cream in a red velvet waffle cone and it was amazing!  Red velvet is my absolute favorite cupcake and the ice cream was well worth the wait.

This is another shot from our day trip to New York.  We stopped at Rockefeller Center to take a few pictures for this post and this picture is from that.

I made this designer hat for way less and I was so excited to share it!  If you want to make one for yourself check out this post for the step by step instructions.

I went to HomeGoods to get a new bedside table and in addition to finding a gorgeous one I also found this adorable planner.  I'm so glad I found this when I did because I have a crazy new medication schedule and I'm using this to keep track of it.

I took this picture after shooting for my post with Irresistible Me.  In this shot I'm rocking their Silky Touch 20 inch 200g Silky Platinum Blonde clip in human hair extensions.  These extensions are great and made me feel like I had the most dreamy mermaid hair!  To learn more about them and my experience with them check out this post!

So this was my July in pictures!  Come check me out on Instagram (@theblushblonde) and follow along with me to see more of what's here!  How was your month?
