Friday Fall Favorites

Favorite School Supply Custom Agenda from SHP Planners
This year I decided to forgo my usual Lilly Pulitzer Agenda for something a little different.  When I found this agenda on Etsy I fell in love with it's feminine floral pattern and pretty colors; I think my favorite part though was the option to customize it and add my name to the cover.

Favorite Craft Monogrammed Pumpkin
Every year I paint a pumpkin and this was last year's design.  I'm all about monogramming so I figured, why not monogram my pumpkin?  This was pretty easy to do and looks very classy.

Favorite Smell Pumpkin Pecan Waffles
My Mom and I are obsessed with this scent and burn the candles all through the fall and winter.  We were both so sad when spring came and our supply ran out, needless to say we are extremely excited to stock up on it again!  It will make your whole house smell good enough to eat.

Favorite Drink Nonfat Chai Tea Latte
While everyone else is sipping their PSLs you'll find me drinking a Chai Tea Latte.  While I'm sure a pumpkin spice latte is delicious, I'm allergic to pumpkin and not a fan of coffee so thankfully I have this yummy drink to help keep me warm when the temperatures drop.

In the fall there is nothing better then a deep, dark, vampy lip and my favorite lipstick to achieve that look is the much loved Revlon Black Cherry.

Favorite Nail Color OPI Lincoln Park After Dark
Like I said the other day this is my absolute favorite nail color.  This deep purple color is a classic that always looks super chic and will look great with a dark lip color like the one above.

Favorite Accessory Plaid Blanket Scarf
Plaid blanket scarves have been a favorite of mine since last year, I got one for Christmas and wore it all the time because it was so warm and stylish.  If you're looking for different ways to style it head over to Pinterest to find endless inspiration.  If you want to buy one I love this one, this one, and this one.

Favorite Shoes Suede Booties
I have been admiring suede booties for a few seasons now, but just never get around to getting a pair.  I think they look adorable with everything from jeans to dresses and all the fashion it girls are rocking them.  I think I'm definitely going to have to purchase a pair this year; I love this pair, this pair, and this pair.

Favorite Look Oversize Sweater and Layers
Oversize sweaters are my go to when it starts to get chilly out.  They're so cozy, but somehow look cute and pulled together too.  I also love the layering in this look, it's another favorite of mine for fall.

Favorite Trend Plaid
I kind of have a minor issue with plaid, I may or may not have three plaid skirts, a plaid belt, plaid ballet flats, and a plaid scarf.  To me it's just the perfect pattern for fall and winter, and it was huge on the runways for Fall 2015.  If you don't own any plaid, I suggest starting with a plaid blanket scarf!

What are your fall favorites this year?

Beauty Review: Lush Brazened Honey Face Mask

Over the summer I was having issues with breakouts on my forehead and along my hairline, I tried just about everything with no luck then I read about a "miracle face mask" on Refinery29 and had to try Lush's Brazened Honey for myself.  The mask is loaded with fresh ingredients including honey, lime oil, kaolin clay, almonds and more.  These ingredients work to give your pores a really deep clean, while moisturizing so your skin doesn't get dried out.  I love Lush's natural approach to beauty and watched this awesome video about how they make the mask in their kitchen.  Brazened Honey is so fresh it has to be stored in the refrigerator and I really love that it goes on cold because of it; it's a nice way to decompress after a long day.

After you take your mask out of the fridge you want to smooth a thick layer of this grainy stuff all over your face and let it sit for about ten to fifteen minutes.  I have to warn you the mask has an interesting and very distinct scent (my Mom even mentioned the smell still lingering in the bathroom the mornings after I would use it), but in my opinion it's worth dealing with the scent for the short period of time for the results it delivers.  Every time I used it my typically large pores seemingly disappear and seriously tighten up.  It also really works to get out anything stuck in your pores, giving you the deepest of cleans.  Adding this into my skincare routine definitely helped to clear up the persistent breakouts I was experiencing.

The only downfall to the mask for me was that it contains almonds, something I'm allergic to.  I'm ok with using nut products on my skin, but tend to shy away from them incase I somehow accidentally ingest them or get them in my mouth.  I was pretty desperate to clear up my skin so I used this regardless of the possible allergic reaction, which probably wasn't my brightest idea.  I was super careful every time I used it washing my hands multiple times, changing the towels I wiped my face with, and completely cleaning up the sink area when I was done with the mask, but it was honestly quite the ordeal for a face mask.  If I wasn't allergic to nuts I would use this all the time, but I probably won't purchase again (unless I'm having a major skin emergency) just because it makes me nervous.  If you don't have a nut allergy though I highly recommend trying this, your skin will love you for it!

Tuesday Ten: Nail Polishes for Fall

Who doesn't love fall?  At this point I'm so over the hot weather and summer clothes, I'm ready for a chill in the air, lots of layers, and colorful leaves.  I feel like this time of year can be so hard to dress for because one minute we have summer weather and the next we have fall weather; this is the time to slowly start transitioning everything from your clothes to your nails to get ready for fall.  I'm not quite sure why, but this is my favorite time of year to have my nails painted, I think it's because I've always favored dark and neutral polishes, which fit so perfectly with fall.  Here I have for you my ten favorite polish colors that will carry you from now all through fall and even winter.

OPI You Don't Know Jaques!: A dark creamy taupe color that will go with just about anything.

OPI Barefoot in Barcelona: 'A luscious shade of nude with a Spanish "sole."' - OPI

OPI Russian Navy: An old favorite of mine, this is a gorgeous navy blue with the faintest hint of sparkle.

OPI Tiramisu for Two: Nudes that are super close to your skin tone always look incredibly chic, try this shade from OPI's Venice Collection to get the look.

OPI Lincoln Park After Dark: This is hands down my absolute favorite nail polish color, I have been wearing it for years and it is definitely a classic.  If you want a dark nail this deep, almost black, purple is the perfect pick.

Essie Bobbing for Baubles: This blue gray color has been super popular for quite sometime now and is a very flattering shade.  I love how gray nails make for such a different and pretty look.

Essie Wicked: This award winning shade is a very, very dark red that makes for a beautiful vampy nail look.

Essie In the Lobby: Essie calls this shade, from their Fall 2015 collection, an exotic cinnamon plum and I love how it's not too dark and a bit unexpected.

Essie Chinchilly: This greige color is a staple polish that is perfect to wear with everything.

Essie A-List: This classic red shade always looks beautiful on nails and is perfect for this time of year.
