June 2016 on Instagram

Is it me or does summer already feel like it's flying by?  I feel like June went by so quickly and it was 4th of July before we knew it!  June was a busy month for me and I documented everything on Instagram.  Below I have a recap of my month in pictures.  If you're not following me (@theblushblonde) make sure to do that now!

I was in Philly one day and stumbled upon these gorgeous flowers.  I always love finding blooms in unexpected places so I had to snap a picture!

I posted this to mark three weeks from my college graduation!  Some days it feels like I graduated yesterday and other days it feels like a lifetime ago.  So far I'm enjoying postgrad life, but I'm sure I'll be sad once August comes and I'm not heading back to Villanova.

We had the worst storm one night that was almost like a flash, it left as quickly as it came.  Once it was over the skies looked like this and were so gorgeous.  It's crazy how a storm can be so scary, but leave this beauty behind.

This is from Max Brenner in Philadelphia.  It's their Munchies Waffles, which are actually a dessert, but I eat it for lunch.  In my opinion when you're at Max Brenner dessert either needs to be the first or the only course!

I took this the same day that I ate those yummy waffles.  I had a doctors appointment in Philadelphia and we passed this building while walking from the doctors to Max Brenner.  It's always a treat to find architectural gems like this among all the skyscrapers in a city!

This was from an outfit post I did with Tobi.  Coco loves to come outside and hang out with my Mom and me when we take blog pictures.  Sometimes she makes it into the pictures because she just does her own thing.  After we're done taking pictures I usually chase her around a little bit, which is her favorite part!

Around Father's Day I got so so so sick, which kind of stopped me in my tracks.  I had a weird cold, but the worst part of it was the fever I had because it would not go away for an entire week!  I spent most of that time in bed relaxing and trying to get better.

I went to Baltimore the last weekend in June to visit one of my sorority sisters and closest friends.  We took a trip to the National Aquarium, which I hadn't been to in years!  My family and I used to go there a lot when we were younger and I always loved it so I was super excited to go back.  We had such a great day exploring the aquarium and then walking around Harbor East!

This was taken the third day of my trip to Baltimore.  We went to breakfast with my friend's parents, then walked around Hampden and Fells Point before I got on the train.  This was taken after we grabbed lunch by the water in Fells Point!

Last, but not least, this was from my Blogiversary photoshoot.  I went to a lake near our house and was able to get some great shots to celebrate three years!

So this was my June in pictures!  Come check me out on Instagram (@theblushblonde) and follow along with me to see more of what's here!  How was your June?

Blonde and Blush

Top: c/o Tobi  |  Pants: Gap  |  Shoes: DV by Dolce Vita  |  Bag: Tory Burch  |  Sunglasses: Fendi  |  Earrings: Kendra Scott

How cute is this Leona Layered Cami from Tobi.com?!  I love to have a few solid tops in pretty shapes in my wardrobe because they go with everything.  Basic tops like this one pair well with skirts, pants, and shorts, solid or patterned.  Another great thing about a fancy cami is that it can be worn all year round; bear your arms during the summer and then add a cardigan when it starts to get cold out to keep warm.  Tobi.com has everything you need to style this top all year round.

The look I've styled here is perfect for a meal out with friends, a party, girls night out, and more!  I'm really big on neutrals so I love the color of this top, which is 'Toast.'  The next time I wear it I'm thinking I'm going to pair with with white jeans or a light colored skirt to create a completely neutral look.  There are so many different pieces I can pair with this top and will be wearing it all summer long!

Before you go today is the last day to enter my Blogiversary Giveaway!  Good luck!

Embrace Your Beauty

This post was sponsored by Vera Wang Fragrances as part of an Activation for Influence Central. I received complimentary products to facilitate my review.

For me fragrance is a very important part of my beauty ritual.  From scented lotions to perfumes I always have to put on something that smells beautiful before I leave my house.  I love fragrance so much that I have been known to spritz some on for a relaxing night in just to make myself feel beautiful and more luxurious.

When I first smelled the newest fragrance in the Vera Wang Embrace Collection, Marigold and Gardenia, I instantly knew that it was one of those fragrances that I could spritz on to feel more beautiful and confident.  I'm not typically drawn to floral scents, but this perfume has a light scent, with fruity notes that I love.  It is especially perfect as a summer scent because it has an airy and easy vibe to it.

This dreamy eau de toilette was inspired by celebrating the moments that are meant to be embraced.  I personally think that life's smaller moments are as important to cherish as the bigger ones.  There's nothing I love more than spending time getting ready with my girlfriends, sister, or Mom when we're heading somewhere.  It's so much fun to put on some music, have girl talk, and share different products.  These are the little moments, the intimate moments, that are so important to me.

One product that is always fun to share when getting ready is definitely perfume.  It's a great time to try on different scents to see what you like in a natural setting.  In my house my Mom and I are always trying each other's perfumes, which is so much fun because my scent collection is instantly doubled when I'm home!  Lately both of us have been wearing Vera Wang Embrace Collection Marigold and Gardenia on repeat because we cannot get enough of it!

I love pairing this perfume with a few other confidence boosters that I always have on hand.  Mascara, lipstick, statement earrings, and a beautiful fragrance are always sure to make me feel my most beautiful.  Vera Wang Embrace Collection Marigold and Gardenia has become a staple for me in my beauty routine along with Dior Diorshow Mascara, and NARS Velvet Matte Lip Pencil.

For a maximum boost of confidence I also recommend layering your perfume with an unscented lotion to help its staying power.  I love taking a shower, putting on Aveeno Daily Moisturizing Lotion, and then spritzing Vera Wang Embrace on my pulse points.  The perfume will stick to the unscented lotion and the shower raises your body temperature giving the perfume a little boost.  With this trick you are sure to leave a light scent (and cloud of confidence!) behind wherever you go.

You can purchase Vera Wang Embrace Collection Marigold and Gardenia for yourself in-store and online at Kohl’s for only $29.99!  Also from now until July 12th you can enter for a chance to win one of ten fragrance kits from Vera Wang Fragrances worth $75.00. Enter below to win a Vera Wang Fragrances Kit in Marigold and Gardenia, Green Tea and Pear Blossom, Rose and Vanilla, or Periwinkle and Iris!

Friday Favorites

Favorite Craft DIY Confetti Tray
This confetti tray is too cute and looks like so much fun to make!  You can find the directions on Delineate Your Dwelling and make one for yourself.  My room in my Mom's new house has a white, pink, and gold color scheme so I'm thinking that this would be the perfect addition to it!

Favorite Dress Play on Curves Ivory Backless Dress
Looking for the perfect little white dress for summer?  Look no further than this gorgeous one from Lulu's!  I love scalloped edges and this one not only has a scalloped hem, but there is scalloping at the arm area, too.  In addition to the fun edges this dress has a gorgeous back.  It is perfect for this time of year, especially for 4th of July weekend!

Favorite Healthy Recipe Crispy Garlic Brussels Sprouts
Brussels sprouts are definitely one of my favorite vegetables (if not my favorite) and this recipe from Minimalist Baker looks so good.  These would make a great addition to any dinner or make for a fun appetizer.  I'm thinking that you could even bring these to a party and they would be a big hit!  I can't wait to try this recipe for myself.

Favorite Cute Mama and Baby Hippo
I think hippos are just the cutest!  I saw this on Pinterest and thought it was beyond adorable.  It's crazy to think that hippos aren't very friendly; I mean look at those faces don't you just want to cuddle them?!

Favorite 4th of July DIY Red White and Blue Ice Cubes
This cute and simple DIY is perfect for any 4th of July festivities you may be hosting or attending this weekend.  These will literally take you no time and will make your drinks look super luxe and like you spent way more time on them than you did.  You can find the really easy instructions here and then make your own for this weekend!

Have a great 4th of July!!
