Tuesday Ten: Favorite Instagram Accounts

I am obsessed with Instagram!  I know that everyone is big on Instagram right now, but I think that it's my personal favorite because I'm such a visual person.  I loving seeing gorgeous pictures and sneak peeks into people's lives everyday, it's a great way to get to know more about someone, see beautiful photography, and even get a laugh.  Today I have for you my ten favorite Instagram accounts, which in my opinion are must follows.

Amber Fillerup

Amber from Barefoot Blonde posts different shots to Instagram almost daily.  Her snaps most frequently feature her too cute son Atticus and his sidekick, their dog Chauncy, who I cannot get enough of!  She also features a lot of fashion and beauty posts too, and most recently her adorable baby bump.  I can't wait for her to have her daughter and see how she dresses her because I know it is going to be perfect!

Julia Engel

If you're looking for all things girly fashion, beauty, and travel Gal Meets Glam creator Julia Engel's Instagram account is for you.  Julia's shares her life in photos on her Instagram and it is exactly what you would expect of her understated, chic, and glamorous.  She travels quite a bit and always has beautiful shots from where she goes.  I personally love her feminine aesthetic and the pops of pink throughout her feed.

Jessica Garvin

I absolutely adore Jessica Garvin's blog Little Baby Garvin so it's no surprise that I love her Instagram too.  She posts pictures of her beyond adorable daughters, her life at home, and different places she goes.  Her style for fashion, home decorating, and baby clothes reminds me a lot of Urban Outfitters and Anthropologie, and everything looks Pinterest perfect.  However she keeps it real (check out her photo captions!) and gives a realistic look into her life.

Carly A. Heitlinger

Carly aka The College Prepster has created preppy Instagram perfection with her account.  She uses her Instagram to document her style and life with her boyfriend and poodle, Teddy.  She recently moved to Connecticut and her feed has been filled with beautiful New England fall activities, backgrounds, and naturescapes.

Caitlin Covington

I love love love Southern Curls and Pearls blogger Caitlin Covington's style.  She essentially uses her Instagram account as an extension of her blog and documents her style on it, which is awesome for those of us who might not have the chance to read all the blogs we like every day.  She also incorporates shots from travels and cute little trinkets around her home, which is fun because it gives a peek into her life.

Lauren Conrad

Lauren Conrad is known for her Instagram account and the gorgeous, curated photos she posts.  Lauren has a super girly and feminine aesthetic (similar to Julia Engel's!) that her photos reflect.  Her pictures all have a similar color scheme to them and a matching filter over the top, her feed really flows and looks as if each picture "matches" with the others.

Gigi Hadid

I am a huge fan of Gigi Hadid so it's only natural that her Instagram account is one of my favorites.  Gigi posts pictures of her with friends, behind the scenes at work, her different modeling jobs, and throwback photos among others.  The images she posts to her account makes her followers feel as though they are getting a behind the scenes look into her everyday life. 

Chrissy Teigen

Chrissy Teigen is beyond fabulous and this is well documented on her Instagram account.  First off she posts the most drool worthy food Instagram's and makes me want to recreate all of her concoctions, she even started a food blog to share the recipes for the foods she posts.  In addition to her incredible food photos you get to see her life at home and work through the pictures she posts.  Chrissy is a really funny person and this definitely comes through in her account.

Crazy Jewish Mom

If you are not following Crazy Jewish Mom on Instagram you are seriously missing out.  This account was created by a daughter to share the countless messages she gets from her caring, yet at times overbearing, mother throughout the day.  The texting conversations that are posted are absolutely hysterical and always guarantee a laugh.

Sir Charles Barkley

I had to include this account because my sister and I are obsessed with the too cute for words Sir Charles Barkley.  Barkley is a sassy, chubby, wrinkley little nugget who goes on different adventures with his owners and lounges around his house.  If you're a dog lover you have to check out this account!

Fall & Winter Style

Even though it was in the seventies last week here in Pennsylvania we are heading into the final stretch of fall and winter is quickly approaching.  For fall and winter I love a cozy look in a dark and neutral palette.  To wear on top I favor oversized sweaters for layering like this lightweight sweater, which comes in five different colors and is sure to be a style staple from now until April.  Every girl loves leggings for this time of year because they look chic, yet are comfortable and this pair from Anthropologie is fleece lined so they are sure to keep you toasty warm.  To accessorize scarves are a must have and a great way to change up your look for not a lot of money; I'm also loving chunky watches and this one from BP. is only $22!  While it's still warm enough out I like to wear ballet flats as much as possible and this pair from Vince Camuto is too cute.  When it starts to get chilly though I stick to boots and booties in black and tan, a short neural bootie and riding boots are must haves in my book for the colder months.  Lastly a simple nude tote is perfect to carry everything you need for work or school and I am a huge fan of this one from Nordstrom.

With these few pieces you are set for the next couple of months and will definitely be warm and stylish.  What pieces are you loving for this time of year?

Favorite CMA Awards Gown Jana Kramer in Galia Lahav Couture

Jana Kramer had the most gorgeous gown at the CMA's this week and was also the most adorable pregnant woman on the red carpet.  I love the color, beading, and train of this gown, it is the epitome of glamour!  This was my definite favorite look of the night.

Favorite Home Decor Chic Happens Tray

Trays are having a major moment in home decor right now and I came across this beauty last night.  This would look so good on a coffee table, dresser, or vanity and is very versatile.  You can keep trinkets in it or let it shine on its own, but whatever you choose to do with it it will make a chic addition to your decor.  I'm already thinking of places I could put this in my apartment!

Favorite Hottie Blake Lively

Blake Lively was recently photographed in Australia wearing a teeny bikini while shooting her latest movie.  Lively showed off her killer bod while rocking the tiny two piece and looked incredible.  In this article her trainer shares the healthy ways she keeps in shape.

Favorite Cold Weather Style Puffer Vest

Right now I'm a huge fan of quilted puffer vests for fall and winter.  I think they're a great way to stay stylish and warm when the temperature drops.  I love how Emily from The Sweetest Thing styles her puffer vest here and I have been thinking about purchasing this vest.

Favorite News Gigi Hadid Cast for VS Fashion Show

Gigi Hadid is one of my favorite models and the VS Fashion Show happens to be my favorite show so I couldn't be more excited that the two are colliding.  Gigi will make the perfect VS model and I don't know how this is only her first show for the company.  I'm keeping my fingers crossed that Victoria's Secret decides to make her an Angel!!

October 2015 on Instagram

Anyone else feel like the end of 2015 is just flying by before our eyes?!  I think what's really throwing me off is this warm weather in November, it's been in the 70s in Pennsylvania today and yesterday, which in my opinion is crazy.  While October was just a little too warm too, it was a good month for me and included a trip to my favorite city in the world, New York!  Here I have a recap of what I did last month.

At the beginning of the month I shared a recipe for my favorite Quinoa Arugula Salad.  If you haven't checked it out I recommend giving it a try, it's packed with protein and veggies and happens to taste delicious, what more could you want?

Like I said above I got to take a trip to New York City last month while I was home from school for October Break.  I'm lucky that at home I'm a little over an hour from the city and I can visit pretty frequently.  On this trip I did a Gossip Girl Tour with On Location Tours, which you can read all about here.

On the Gossip Girl Tour we stopped at Dylan's Candy Bar, which it is the cutest candy shop.  It's decorated to look like candyland come to life and is so much fun!  If you're in New York City you should definitely stop by to check it out and get some fun, hard to find candy.

Over October Break my sister and I went pumpkin picking and had a blast!  We went full on basic and took a million pictures, we even found these two really nice girls who were doing the same thing so we all helped each other out (major props to them for this picture's pose).  You can see all of our pictures from the pumpkin patch and our outfit details here.

With the gorgeous warm weather I decided it was necessary to sit outside and appreciate my beautiful campus between classes one day.  I realized I really take the beauty for granted and don't take enough time to really take it in.  I also had the realization that I'm graduating in May so I better enjoy it now.

I took this with two of my sorority sisters before Hoopsmania, which is like a big pep rally at school to kick off the basketball season (our biggest sport).  It's always such a fun time and this year Big Sean performed!  He was really great and definitely got us all hyped up for the season.  Before college I literally knew nothing about sports and now I am a huge basketball fan; I can't believe this is my last season as an undergrad and am hoping it's our best yet!

Fall is my favorite time of year because of all the gorgeous trees on campus.  Villanova used to be an arboretum so there are over 250 different species of trees and they are all beautiful this time of year!

I took this picture while I was painting pumpkins for my D.I.Y. Princess Pumpkins post.  I think that pink is an appropriate color for all holidays so it was only natural I painted my pumpkins pink for Halloween!

This picture is from one day last week on my way back from class when it was raining out.  I can't get enough of how pretty all the leaves are even if they're on the ground.  I also couldn't resist the chance to get a shot of my Hunter Boots because what blogger doesn't love Hunters?!

I had a bad sinus infection for Halloween so I landed up going home for the weekend to rest.  Since I couldn't dress up I put Coco in her adorable bunny costume, but she's not really a fan of being a rabbit so this lasted for about two minutes while I took the picture.  I then stopped torturing her and gave her a treat to make up for it, she wasn't mad at me anymore after she ate the treat.

Tuesday Ten: Suede

Suede has been a huge trend for fall and I definitely think it is here to stay for winter.  It's a trend that I'm loving and am glad to see it sticking around.  My favorite way to wear suede is the super popular button front suede skirt like this one, it's been seen everywhere this fall from fashion bloggers to celebrities and is a great piece for cooler weather.  If you're not feeling a suede skirt there are a lot of options to work a little suede into your wardrobe, for a small touch try suede shoes, boots, or a handbag, and if you're looking for a little more give suede leggings, vests, and dresses a try.  No matter how you choose to I definitely recommend add a little suede into your closet right now.  Pictured here are some of my favorite picks!
