What to Wear: Easter Sunday

Skirt  |  Top  |  Jumpsuit  |  Dress
Heels  |  Flats  |  Mules  |  Clutch

I cannot believe that Easter is already this coming Sunday - I feel like March just flew by!  If you're anything like me you've been thinking about what to wear, but haven't fully decided on anything yet.  For Easter I love mixing pastels and neutrals to really get the spring holiday feel.  I put these pieces together to give you inspiration for what to wear and hopefully even find a new piece to add to your closet for the upcoming spring and summer.  The best part is is that everything is under $90!  I personally love to dress up for Easter Sunday, which is why I included both a dress and skirt, and while the top and jumpsuit can be dressed up as well I think that you can also definitely make them more casual depending on how you style them.  I've also included some super cute shoe and earring options that go amazing with the clothing items pictured and are sure to become staples in your wardrobe.  Anything pictured here (or even something similar!) is perfect to celebrate in this coming Sunday and sure to wow!

What to Wear: Valentine's Day

Top  |  Earrings  |  Earrings  |  Necklace  |  Bodysuit
Skirt  |  Dress  |  Dress
Heels  |  Clutch  |  Clutch
Heels  |  Heels  |  Clutch

With Valentine's Day just a week aways it's time to start thinking of what to wear if you're going out to celebrate (either with a significant other or your besties!).  For Valentine's I love to play up the holiday colors and definitely wear something red or pink (or even both together).  I had so much fun putting together these pieces that are holiday themed, without being kitschy.   Both this dress and this dress are flirty, feminine, and perfect for a date night to celebrate.  I also like pieces that you can mix and match to dress up or down like this bodysuit and this classic top, which can be paired with jeans or a skirt like this.  I love any excuse to wear heels so to finish the look you can go neutral with these, metallic with these, or add a fun pop of color with these.  Last but not least add some statement jewelry and a cute clutch (I'm obsessed with this one!) and you're all ready to go!

The great thing about these pieces is they're perfect to wear all year round and don't have to be saved just for Valentine's Day (they're great for weddings, date nights, and girls night outs too!).  So whether you're celebrating or not you can still shop the post below!

What to Wear: Fall Transition

Top  |  Bracelet  |  Earrings  |  Tee
Joggers  |  Scarf  |  Dress  |  Joggers
Mules  |  Sneakers  |  Bag

This time of year can be tricky with fashion since it's technically fall, but the weather still feels like summer.  It leaves you wondering what to wear and trying to straddle the line between looking seasonally appropriate and being comfortable with the weather.  For now I'm loving short or long sleeve dresses or rompers for warmer days and then lightweight pants and tops for cooler ones.  Like for spring I am still obsessing over joggers for transitioning into the fall and love that you can wear both dressy and casual joggers depending on where you're headed.  Basics like graphic tees and long sleeve tees (especially ones with sweet details like on this one) are other great pieces to have on hand for this time of year and they can be paired with joggers, jeans, or even shorts depending on the temperature.  To stay on season it's smart to pack away sandals and wear shoes with a little more coverage like mules or ever trendy sneakers.  Lastly finish off your look with accessories (scarves, bags, and jewelry) that can help carry you from summer to fall to winter with ease.  Any of the pieces pictured here are perfect to wear from now through to winter and can even transition to winter with some styling tweaks.

Adding any of these pieces to your wardrobe is sure to freshen up your look to transition into fall!  What pieces are you loving for this time of year?

What to Wear: Early Spring

Jacket  |  Earrings  |  Top
Joggers  |  Sunnies  |  Top  |  Pants
Heels  |  Mules  |  Bag

Spring has finally sprung and with a new season comes new clothes!  I'm sure you've already figured out from my collage that I'm a big fan of neutrals for spring.  Over the last few years I have grown to really love a neutral palette and there are so many great neutral pieces out there for this spring.  Since spring can be kind of tricky I like to wear things that can easily adapt to the weather.  In the Northeast longer pants are still a necessity, but I love wearing them in a fun color like this pale pink pair to make them feel more seasonal.  Right now I am also really loving joggers because they're so on trend and I am dying to pick up this pair (which also come in black and a bright blue!).  Pretty tops that can be worn alone or with a jacket or sweater are a must for this time of year.  This top is simple, but has a touch of elegance with the lace, and both ruffles and stripes are very big right now which makes this top a great choice.  We are also seeing a huge rise in the bomber jacket trend recently and I am obsessed with this one I recently picked up that is just perfect for the weather we get right now.  Thankfully it's finally time to switch out boots for flats and sandals and if you're in the market for either of those both this pair and this pair are very in and perfect for spring.  Lastly it's important to have spring-y accessories like colorful sunnies, tassel earrings, and a sweet scalloped bag.  The great thing about the pieces pictured here is that most of them can be worn through the whole season and even into the summer!

Adding any of these pieces to your wardrobe is sure to freshen up your look for spring!  What pieces are you loving for this time of year?

What to Wear: Back to School

Sandals  |  Flats  |  Tote

I know that so many schools and colleges have either started school or are starting soon so I wanted to share some back to school wardrobe staples.  It's still pretty hot where I am, but before we know it we're going to be experiencing that awkward in between summer and fall weather that can make getting dressed difficult.  Thankfully the pieces I have here can be worn from now through that awkward faze and beyond!  A pair of black jeans are a fashion staple and can definitely be worn all year round, I love this pair and really want to buy them for myself.  This tee and this tee are both perfect to wear this time of year and will easily carry into the chillier weather if you add a simple cardigan or light jacket.  A staple in my closet is definitely a denim shirt which can be worn alone or layered over something and looks great with jeans or leggings.  For accessories I like to keep it simple with studs and a dainty necklace and I always have to have a pair of cute sunnies, like these, on hand to shield my eyes from the sun.  I also loved having a large carryall tote for all of my school supplies when I was in college and while this bag is an investment it's definitely worth it!  Flats and sandals are always my go to shoes this time of year; a basic pair of flats like this are an absolute must have and this pair of sandals will add a little bit of flair to any look.

Adding any of these pieces to your wardrobe is sure to freshen up your looks and help you head back to school in style!  What pieces are you loving for this time of year?

What to Wear: City Day Trip

My Mom and I are heading into New York City for the day to walk around, eat some amazing food, and see the Rockettes New York Spectacular.  It is going to be hot, hot, hot in the city today and it took me two minutes to decide what to wear.  Since it took no time to pick out my outfit it made me realize that there are a few pieces that are perfect to wear when you're taking a day trip to NYC, or really any other city, in the summertime (I work a similar look in Baltimore!).  Below I'm breaking down my summer city day trip fashion essentials for you.

Romper- A romper is the perfect thing to wear for a day trip; it's super easy to throw on and you only have to deal with one piece all day.  Not to mention it's cool and breezy for warm summer days.  You'll be really comfortable, but look fashionable and on trend at the same time.

Sunglasses- Sunglasses are an absolute must to shield your eyes from the sun.  The sun not only damages our skin, but our eyes too so it's important to protect them.  Large sunnies, like these, will help to keep the sun off your eyes and skin around your eyes too.

Converse- I have this pair of slip on Converse and they are incredibly comfortable.  I can walk around in these all day without any aches, pains, or blisters, which is important when exploring a city.  The other great thing about these is that they keep your feet covered and clean!

Studs- Studs are an easy accessory to wear when you're exploring.  They're lightweight and you'll forget you're even wearing them while you're out and about!

Just put together this simple look and you're fashionable and ready for your day of fun!  What do you love to wear for a day trip?

What to Wear: Summer Style

Sunglasses  |  Romper  |  Top
Dress  |  Bracelet  |  Earrings  |  Shorts

It's finally starting to feel like summer out and I couldn't be more excited.  For the warmer months I love simple, yet chic looks that keep me cool.  In the summer my favorite pieces are dresses and rompers because they're so easy to throw on and go.  Palm prints have been super popular lately and this dress from Topshop is very on trend.  I also think that having a few solid rompers in your summer wardrobe is important because they will go with everything; you will wear this black one all the time and can change the look by wearing different accessories.  A simple tank top and denim cutoffs are absolute must haves for summertime.  This top comes in nine different colors and can be worn with everything from print shorts to a skirt to jeans and more.  My shoe essentials for summer are flat sandals, wedges, and espadrilles.  I am totally in love with this pair from Sole Society, the scalloping is such a cute detail and the nude color will go with so many different things in my closet.  I also love this pair of wedges and they happen to be a dupe for this much more expensive pair from Chloé.  To finish off your look and protect your eyes you need a chic pair of sunnies, while this Karen Walker pair is a splurge they are well worth it!  Lastly, this bracelet and these earrings are also perfect for summer looks.

With these few pieces you are set for the next couple of months and will definitely be cool and stylish.  What pieces are you loving for this time of year?

What to Wear: New Year's Eve

I've never really been big on New Year's Eve, I honestly prefer to watch the ball drop in the comfort of my own living room while wearing cozy PJs.  I don't really know why I don't love New Year's Eve, but I think it has something to do with the fact that everyone feels obliged to go out, I like to be a rebellion and stay in.  It is fun though to think of pretty sparkly New Year's Eve outfits to wear out.  In my opinion sparkles are an absolute must for your NYE look!  It's the perfect night to go a little out of your usual style comfort zone and try something fun like feathers - I am completely obsessed with this blush pink top, or load on the sequins - like with this dress.  Finish off your look with sky high heels and big earrings to keep it super glam and perfect for the holiday!  Hopefully the looks above will give you some inspiration if you're still planning your New Year's Eve look, and if you're more like me then check out these adorable holiday PJs that you can rock while you enjoy the night.
