Millennial Pink

Yesterday was pretty big date for The Blush Blonde as it was my blogiversary!  June 26, 2017 officially marks four years of blogging for me, which is crazy to think about.  Every year I do something special to commemorate this day because it means so much to me.  This year is no different, however because of everything that's been going on I've decided to postpone my celebration until July 10th so that I can make it as special as possible and really enjoy it.  I can't wait to show you all what I have planned and there might just be a something special for all of you so make sure to keep your eyes out for it!  Now onto today's post!

You've most likely heard of it and you've definitely seen it everywhere, I'm talking about the color that has been taking over for quite some time now - millennial pink.  What exactly is millennial pink, you may be wondering...
  • Well theSkimm describes it as "the sort of salmon, sort of pastel color that's on every other ad campaign and new product packaging right now."
  • While POPCRUSH says, "it’s not just one color on the wheel. It embraces a range of shades in Pantone terms, from Rose Quartz and Pale Dogwood to Candy Pink. Sometimes it falls on a spectrum between beige and peach."
  • And The Cut explains that it's "a toned-down version of its foil, Barbie Pink, a softer shade that looks as if all the blue notes have been taken out" and that overtime "the color had mutated and expanded to include a range of shades from beige with just a touch of blush to a peach-salmon hybrid."

In short millennial pink is the color of the moment and it seems like it's here to stay through summer and beyond.  I think that rocking a dress or romper in the color is the perfect way to incorporate it into your wardrobe and here I have for you twelve of my favorite millennial pink dresses and rompers (most of which are under $100 and some are even under $50!).  I've got you covered with both dressy and casual options so no matter where you want to wear this "it" color there's something for you.  I personally love millennial pink paired with neutrals - nudes, grays, tans, etc., but it's essentially a neutral in its own right at the moment and the color combinations it can be worn with are endless.  I currently own this dress in the shade and love wearing it all the time to be both comfy and on trend, but I would love this one for a fancier occasion like a summer wedding.  Basically you can wear this color anywhere, anytime to look super chic and you never have to tell me twice to wear something pink! 😉

What are your thoughts on this trendy color?
