March Madness Style Hair to Toe

March Madness is here and I seriously could not be more excited!  Throughout high school I knew next to nothing about sports and had no interest in learning about them either.  However when I started looking at colleges I began to take a bit of an interest in them and started watching Villanova basketball regularly as it was my top choice school.  Over the last four years that initial interest has grown into a love of anything Villanova basketball (I also enjoying going to our football games too!).  When I was a freshmen it was a rough year for our team and as my love and knowledge of basketball has grown over my time here, our team has gotten better and better.  We have had an incredible season this year and today is our second game in the NCAA Tournament as a #1 seed.  As a girl who loves fashion I'm sure you can imagine that one of my favorite parts of going to or watching games is getting dressed and showing my school spirit through what I'm wearing!  Today I'm going to show you how to dress like your team's #1 fan.

For games I like to wear one of my many Villanova shirts or sweatshirts, jeans or leggings, and boots or flats (depending on the weather!).  For added spirit I love to put on one of our adorable face decals and throw on a baseball hat.  I knew for March Madness though I had to step up my look to really support our team, this is where my awesome blue hair, dyed with Garnier Color Styler, comes in.
Garnier Color Styler comes in 5 colors (perfect for matching to your school colors!) and gives intense wash out color to your hair.  It's water based and creates a thin color coat using clay and polymers to help the color adhere to the surface of your hair, meaning there is no damage being done.  As you can see the color it delivers is quite vibrant and the best part is that that it will not rub off or stain your clothes like some other temporary dyes.  The best part about it though is that applying it is super easy.
How to Use Garnier Color Styler:
-Put on an old t-shirt so that you don't get dye on anything while you're applying it.
-Make sure your hair is clean, dry, and completely free of tangles.
-Put on the reusable gloves and vigorously shake the bottle of dye.
-Put a few drops of dye on your fingers and rub them together (do not skip this step and apply the dye directly to hair).  Start off with only a few drops to see how much you will need to get the desired color, you can always add more as you go.
-Apply a thin coat of color to the ends of your hair to dye the tips like I did.  Feel free to slowly add more dye until you get the desired color.
-Continue this until all the tips of your hair are coated.
-Wait for your hair to completely dry, use a blow dryer if desired.
-Brush through to set it.
-If you got color anywhere you do not want it you can use a bit of oil to remove it.
-This will last for 2-3 shampoos, but may last longer for some.

Before dying I highly recommend checking out Garnier's YouTube channel, there are tons of fun videos that show you a variety of different styles you can create with Garnier Color Styler.
Before using the Color Styler I had never dyed my hair with anything before so this really shows the serious commitment I have to my team!  I'm obsessed with how it came out and feel like it really completed my March Madness look.  I would say this is a must have for anyone looking to really show off their team spirit and root on their school in the tournament.  I'm also already thinking of ways I can incorporate Color Styler into my game day looks for next year!
My sweet sorority sisters stopped by when one of our other sisters was taking pictures of me.  After everyone finished chatting about my hair (it's a big hit!) we had to take some cute pictures together!

Must Haves

There are always a few products that I have in my beauty routine that I use more than all the others, these products are what you can call my 'Must Haves.'  Now being the beauty addict that I am, these products are constantly changing, whether it's because I go back to something that I had gotten away from or try something new, I'm always playing with a few different things at a time.  Today I have for you the items that I cannot stop using this month!

I saved up all of my birthday and Christmas money to buy this baby - let me tell you it was well worth it!  I am going to do a full post on this, but since the first time I used this I have been in love and the better it makes my skin looks the more I love it.

When I was younger I was obsessed with the original BiorĂ© strips because they were just so much fun, I am one of those crazy people that enjoys seeing all that junk come out of pores.  I don't know if I forgot about them or what, but a few weeks ago I decided to pick up their new charcoal strips and my obsession is back!  I would honestly say that these work better than the originals and do a great job of clearing out your pores.

I brought this to make different face masks with to share on here and it has been wonderful.  Even if you just mix equal parts of the clay and water, and apply it to your face it cleans out your pores and tightens them up.  This has helped a lot lately to keep my skin looking great.

I've talked about this on here numerous times before because it is the only stuff that keeps my lips from cracking and bleeding.  For some reason my lips are ridiculously dry, especially in the winter, so applying a thick layer of this every night before I go to bed is a necessity.

If you've been reading along for a while then you're probably sick of me talking about how much I love coconut oil.  The reason I keep raving about it though is because it is seriously the best, and has so many uses it's crazy.  Lately I've been using it mostly as a facial moisturizer when my skin feels extra dry and putting it on the ends of my hair at night before I go to sleep when I know I will be showering the next morning.  If you haven't jumped on the coconut oil bandwagon yet, you absolutely have to run out now and get it now!  I always keep a giant jar of it that my Mom picks up at Costco and use it all the time.

Let me start off by saying I'm very particular about my mascara, I started using this about 3 months ago and have had great results from it.  It adds volume to lashes without clumping, which is big for me. Since I first used it I haven't purchased anything else and highly recommend it.

What are your beauty must haves right now?

Street Style: Karlie Kloss

Karlie Kloss stuns both on the runway and off.  She certainly has her model off duty look down pact, and it's just as exciting to see what she wears on the streets, as it is to see what she wears on the runway.  In her street looks Karlie strikes a balance between structured, cozy chic, and summer casual. For the colder months she favors jeans, leather pants, and tailored trousers, while in the summer she goes for relaxed dresses and flirty separates.  Kloss is unafraid to experiment with fashion, which can be seen in her personal style through her willingness to wear a variety of different looks.  Karlie's style is great to take inspiration from, her more structured outfits are perfect for work, while her dress looks are best for shopping or brunch with friends.

Recently Karlie has been garnering attention outside of her work for her equally fashionable friendships.  She can be seen with everyone from fellow models (Kendall Jenner and Karolina Kurkova below) to her bestie Taylor Swift, and always looks chic when out and about with her gaggle of girlfriends.  Pictured here are some of my favorite looks that Karlie has worn.
Which of Karlie's looks is your favorite?

D.I.Y. Peeps Bunny Crayons

When I saw this tutorial for Easter Bunny Crayons on MoonFrye, I knew I had to make my own.  I thought they would be a cute Easter treat to make and send to my little cousin!  I followed their instructions for the most part, but ended up putting my own spin on it.  I found an adorable Peeps mold at A.C. Moore, which was too perfect to make them in!  These crayons are great for any and all Easter crafts for the little ones in your life, and in my opinion they are also really fun to make.

Supplies:
-35 crayons (preferably in pastels and bright colors)
-Wilson Peeps Bunny Treat Mold

Instructions:
-Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
-Unwrap all crayons and break them into small pieces.
-Fill each mold with crayons, see picture below for how much to fill them.
-Place in oven and bake for 10 minutes.
-Remove from oven carefully, you do not want to mix up the melted crayons.
-Allow to completely cool.
-Gently remove each crayon from the molds.
-Enjoy!
~Use pictures for reference.

I was so happy with how these came out and will be definitely making more crayons in the future!  Do you have any fun Easter crafts?
