Have a Perfect Hair Day with Living Proof

“I participated in an Influencer Activation on behalf of Influence Central for Living Proof. I received product samples to facilitate my review and to thank me for my participation.”

Living Proof was actually founded by scientists in Cambridge, MA who discovered two proprietary ingredients that have never been used before in beauty: with a healthy hair molecule called OFPMA. Needless to say I was beyond excited when I received a box filled with Living Proof hair products including their PhD shampoo, PhD conditionerand PhD 5-in-1 Styling Treatment.  I've been dying to try their products because they are free of sulfates, silicones, and oils, and Jennifer Aniston is co-owner. Jennifer always has goddess worthy hair and now we all can by using the same products she does!

“What caught my attention about Living Proof is the company’s unique approach to hair care—using scientific technologies to offer women actual proof in a bottle rather than hoping for results.” - Jennifer Aniston on Living Proof

When I first opened the products I had to smell them right away, which I know may sound odd, but I wanted to make sure they smelled good before I used them.  I have to tell you they did not disappoint - they smell wonderful and make my hair smell amazing! I've never had my hair hold a product scent like it does when I use these.

My favorite part about this line is the fact that they do not use any sulfates in their products like I mentioned above; I have an allergy to sulfates so I always love finding new products that I can actually use.  I would have to say these are honestly the best sulfate free hair products I have tried, I had no itchiness or redness on my scalp, even after going a few days without washing.   Additionally my hair still looks great even after a few days because Living Proof's PhD shampoo and conditioner keep hair cleaner, longer meaning you don't need to wash your hair as often!
When applying Living Proof styling products like their PhD 5-in-1 Styling Treatment on damp hair, after using the shampoo and conditioner, you only need to use a small amount.  I have a tendency to be heavy handed when applying products, so I learned after my first use that I needed to only use a pea-sized amount or it was too much for my hair to handle.  I really like that you don't need to use a lot because it will allow the bottle to last longer.  All of the PhD products treat and style your hair to deliver smoothness, volume, conditioning, strength, and polish.  I have to say that I immediately noticed a difference in the texture of my hair, which I've never had before from other shampoos and conditioners.  I even feel like it makes drying your hair quicker and easier.

Since using Living Proof PhD I've definitely been having perfect hair days (PhD).  For the chance to be one of 10 winners that receive Living Proof's PhD shampooPhD conditionerand PhD 5-in-1 Styling Treatment enter here! When you sign up you will only be entered to win these great products, but you will get a code for a free gift with your purchase from Living Proof's website.  Now everyone can have a perfect hair day!

I am going to keep using my Living Proof products and report back in a few weeks with all the other amazing benefits they products have to offer!  Have you ever used any Living Proof products?

Friday Confessions

Here are my Friday Confessions - short, sweet, and to the point this week...

 One
I confess that I have a pounding headache, sore throat, runny nose, and fever.  This is not really much a confession, but more of an over share about my lovely cold.

 Two
I confess that I've not had any blogging ambitions, or really any ambitions  at all because of said cold.

 Three
I confess that I want you to check out my new Sponsor page!

 Four
I confess that I'm really excited for this weekend because it is Parents Weekend at school, and I love when my parents come to visit!

 Five
I confess that I really want Fall weather and a plaid scarf to go with it.

What are your confessions from the week?  Hopefully more exciting/eventful than mine!

Pinspiring

Who doesn't love Pinterest?  It's such a fun way to find different ideas for fashion, beauty, crafts, and food.  I know I get lost for longer than I'd like to admit looking at all the amazing pins I find!  I thought it would be fun to share what's been giving me some inspiration on Pinterest lately as I haven't done it in a long time!

Fit and Flare Skirts
Lately I've been pinning so many fit and flare skirts and dresses onto my Dreamy Dresses and Skirting the Rules boards.  This style is so chic and feminine, and it works really well for this end of summer/early fall weather we're experiencing.

Fall Looks
Can you tell I'm craving real fall weather?  I can't wait to be able to wear jackets, scarves, and boots when it cools down a bit more.  Fall is one of my favorite seasons for fashion and I've been pinning so many pretty looks onto my Cold Weather Style board.

Beauty
It should come as no surprise that I have a bunch of different Beauty Pinterest boards!  Right now I'm loving fall inspired nails for my Mani/Pedi board, DIY skin products for my Skincare board, and pretty makeup looks for my Makeup board.

Crafts
I love finding girly-chic crafts on Pinterest!  Thankfully there are so many to choose from.  I love this glitter state craft, tassel garlandand kiss artwork that I've pinned to my Creative board.

Food
They're are so many amazing recipes that you can get from Pinterest.  As someone who enjoys food as much as I do, this is great!  I want to make these Baked Asparagus Fries from my Feed Me board, Cinnamon Roll Crescents from my Something Sweet board, and Hot Spinach and Artichoke Dip from my Snacks board.

So this is what I've been pinning lately and now I have a lot of outfit and makeup inspiration, new crafts to work on, and recipes to try!  Follow me on Pinterest and I will follow back, I always love finding new Pinterest accounts.  What do you love about Pinterest?  Do you have a favorite thing to pin?

My Must Haves

All of the products pictured here are things that I just cannot live without lately (I'm not dramatic at all).  From jeans to makeup to cookies these are the products I have been using a lot of lately, also known as my Must Haves of the Moment.

Good skinny jeans are a must when transitioning from Summer to Fall.  The last few days have been on the cooler side here, which is perfect weather to wear these.  Mavi is my favorite brand of jeans because they fit me like a glove, and the Serena is my favorite style because they are low rise, super skinny at the ankle, and very soft.

I use this agenda to keep track of school assignments, doctors appointments, group meetings, sorority events, and more.  I could not live without this during the school year as it keeps me organized and on track.  There's something that makes writing in an agenda more special than keeping your schedule in your phone or tablet.

The Emmie is seriously the most comfortable pair of flats I own (and I own them in black, pewter, and tan!).  The tan coloring of this pair allows you to wear them with many different colors.  They are also great for the change of season and look chic with the skinny jeans above.

These are a blast from the past; I mean who doesn't remember them from their childhood? It's seriously bad how much I love these cookies!  They are just so good!  I may or may not eat them raw as well as cooked.  I really shouldn't be allowed to keep these in my apartment though because I devour them way too fast!

I've talked about my love of coconut oil on here quite a few times before.  It's such a wonderful, natural beauty product with so many uses.  Lately I have been using it on my face at night after washing it, in my hair as a deep conditioner, and on my body as a lotion after the shower.  It will be especially helpful as it gets colder out and my skin begins to lose its moisture more quickly.

This is my favorite blush I have ever used and it was one of my 'Must Haves' a few months back, as well.  It's a coral color with a hint of bronze and does a really good job of brightening up my complexion and making me glow.

I use the makeup removing wipes from Costco's Kirkland Brand because I have found them to be larger and less oily than other wipes.  In the past I've used the Neutrogena Makeup Removing Wipes pictured here, and they work nice as well.  Every night I wipe my face off with a wipe to remove my makeup before washing my face, doing this makes my skin much cleaner and helps to prevent my eyes from becoming itchy (which happens if I don't remove all of my mascara).

I have these in the navy color, which is shown, and am absolutely obsessed with them!  They are so chic and go with just about everything.

What are your must haves of the moment?
