Travel Tuesday: Athens 1

So I'm finally getting around to sharing my pictures from Greece!  Better late than never, right?  I had like 500 photos from the 2 weeks I was there so I wanted to go through and edit them before posting them here.  I honestly don't know how to do this other then doing posts filled with photos because there are just so many of them!  I'm going to break up the two weeks into many posts that way I don't have so many pictures that the posts are just boring.  I am preluding all pictures by saying I look a bit messy.  I don't know how people take these glamorous shots when traveling, but it was crazy hot, very windy, and because I was with a group - quick moving.  I give major props to anyone who gets pretty pictures of themselves while traveling and battling the elements that come along with that.  The pictures I have here are from our hotel and first two days in Athens.

The hotel we stayed in in Athens was in an awesome location, it was in the middle of the shopping district and we were surrounded by shops.  It was also near the Plaka, Acropolis, and all the cool sites we wanted to see.  My roommate and I had a nice view of everything from our room, which I loved!  There wasn't a pool in our hotel, but they owned another hotel 2 blocks away with a pool that we were allowed to use.  It was absolutely gorgeous and had insane views of the Acropolis.  We hung out there for a bit, walked around the city, and then passed out for a nap.  After all of that we had a big group dinner at an outdoor restaurant located in the Plaka.

The second day we went to the site where Socrates was imprisoned which is the first picture above.  We then went to a spot where they used to have assembly meeting in Ancient Greece and had class there.  This site had spectacular views of the whole city and I was sure to take a ton of pictures (I paired it down here quite a bit!).  That night a bunch of the girls in the group went to dinner at this great restaurant in the Plaka.  The owner and waiters at this restaurant were so nice and made us a special dinner that was delicious!

Athens was a really awesome city that I enjoyed visiting.  The next post about Greece will be about the day we went to the Acropolis or as I like to call it the day I climbed a mountain!

Lake Look

Top: BP.  |  Shorts: Rubbish  |  Belt: Nordstrom (old, similar here and here)  |  Sandals: United Colors of Benetton (picked up in Greece, similar here and here)  |  Belt:  |  Sunglasses: Free People  |  Earrings: South Moon Under  |  Bracelets: c/o Ellie's Sparkles

We took these pictures by the lake near my house because it's just too gorgeous not to be outside lately.  Thankfully it finally feels like summer!  I'm very happy I got to wear my new sandals that I picked up in Greece, as I have been dying to wear them.  I went for a neutral look so that my gorgeous bracelets from Ellie's Sparkles would really pop.  All of their pieces are so pretty, especially their bangles, which come in so many different colors and stones.  I cannot wait to pair these with different looks!  Make sure to head over to their website to check out all they have to offer.

I confess that I love anything Iggy Azalea lately especially her song “Fancy” and it's awesome Clueless themed video.

I confess that I decided like yesterday I really want my hair to be a few inches longer now so if that could happen it would be awesome.

I confess that I am so excited that Crumbs and Curls turns 1 next week!  I have a big giveaway coming up to celebrate and will start sharing more about it on Monday!

Looks I Love Lately

I haven't done a run down of celebrity outfits on here in what seems like forever, and my celebrity loving self needs some starlets up in here.  I've been going through celebrity looks from the last few weeks and have found a few favorites that I wanted to share.

1. Blake Lively in Michael Kors at the CFDA Fashion Awards in New York City.
From head to toe this look is perfection, as Blake always is.  I love the throwback feel of this look and the way the colors pair together.

2. Jessica Alba in David Koma at the Guy's Choice Awards in Los Angeles.
This is a major bombshell look, and people.com breaks down why both women and men love it.

3. Lauren Conrad in Elliatt at Extra in University City, CA.
This is the perfect girl-next-door look and serves as great inspiration for many different summer occasions (bonus: Lauren is wearing my favorite heels of the moment!).

4. Sandra Bullock in Roland Mouret at the Guy's Choice Awards in Los Angeles.
Sandra looks amazing in this brightly colored curve hugging mini!  I love how she keeps this look very minimal, especially how she matches her lipstick to her dress and also wears the heels of the summer.

5. Keri Russell in Isabel Marant dress and Saint Laurent jacket at the Sundance Institute Vanguard Leadership Award Ceremony in New York City.
I love this lace mini and I feel like Keri brings it up a notch by adding a tuxedo jacket to make for a very chic look.

These are a few of the celebrity looks I love lately, what do you think?  Which is your favorite?
