Night Out: LBD

Dress: Velvet Torch (old, similar here and here)  |  Heels: Mixx (old, similar here and here)  |  Earrings: c/o Born Pretty  |
Necklace: c/o Born Pretty

I put this look together for some weekend outfit inspiration.  I know it's only Wednesday, but this way you have a few days to think about your weekend outfit and get really excited for any fun plans you might have!  This is a look that I would wear out for dinner, drinks or dancing; I would wear it on a date or for a night out with the girls.  The dress I have on is one of my absolute favorites, it is so versatile I can literally wear it anywhere and style it a million different ways.  I picked it up at Nordstrom a few years back, and listed a few different dresses that have a similar look.  I would definitely say that a simple little black dress like this is a staple for any wardrobe.  The heels add a fun pop of color to an otherwise monochromatic look.

The gorgeous earrings and necklace that I am wearing were sent to me by Born Pretty.  Born Pretty is a website specializing in the latest fashion and accessories.  Their prices are great, which will help you to keep up with all the trends.  I'm really happy with the quality of the jewelry as well, and look forward to pairing these pieces with many different looks.  There are so many fun things in the Born Pretty store and I highly recommend checking them out.  The people at Born Pretty were so kind and sent me a 10% off code to share with all of you!  Head over to www.bornprettystore.com and type in the code 'KTT10' at checkout for your 10% off.  Have fun shopping!

Celebrity Style Obsession: Nina Dobrev

The dark haired star of the CW hit The Vampire Diaries, Nina Dobrev, sometimes flies under the radar, but her style should not be missed. Lately she has been showing up on red carpets from the Emmys to the Met Gala, and has been bringing her style A game with her. Nina has a fabulous sense of fashion, which she shows off in flashy gowns, glam minis, or a fashion forward jumpsuit or romper. Nina is fabulous at accessorizing with sky high heels and clutch or handbag that pulls her whole look together. She styles her hair in a variety of different ways, romantic updos, loose ponytails, sleek straight locks, and sexy waves, which always compliment her outfits. With her insane sense of style Nina Dobrev is definitely a fashionista to watch.
Which of Nina's looks is your favorite?

All About Easter

Well it's Monday again, I feel like the Monday after Easter sucks a little bit more then usual.  I have the day off from classes though, which eases the pain a bit, but I still have to head back to school today.  I am counting down the days until classes are over, I've got about 2 1/2 weeks and I am done!!  So how was your Easter weekend?  I had a nice, very relaxed day yesterday, and I'm going to tell you all about it.

First my sister and I opened our baskets that the Easter Bunny left for us.  My sister is still a child and could not wait to open them.  Here are all the fun goodies that were in my basket!

"If You Give a Mouse a Cookie" has been my favorite book since I was little.  Ever since then I've collected all the books in the series and was so excited when I got this!  I had no idea that they came out with an Easter book and it is too cute.

I absolutely love these!  They are so girly and have a very Kate Spade feel to me.  I cannot wait to wear one (I'm feeling the pink polka dot bow) this week.

This towel is so bright and cheerful, and will go great with my kitchen at school!  It's so funny to me that it makes me feel so grown up when I get excited to get things for my apartment.

Good Luck Charm
I've already put this little charm in my purse so I can keep it with me all the time.  It will be especially handy with finals coming up!

Reese's Peanut Butter Eggs
The Easter Bunny knows me all too well and filled my basket to the brim with these delicious treats!  I now have enough to hold me over for quite a while!

Alex & Ani Villanova Bracelet
The Easter Bunny pre-ordered this for me and I cannot wait for it to come in.  I love my school so much and cannot wait to have another thing to show off my pride!  I am especially excited to pair it with my sorority Alex & Ani, they will look too cute together.

The Easter Bunny also left a little check to use when I go to Greece.  That way I have a little extra spending money to buy some goodies over there too!

Big thanks to the Bunny for all the great gifts!

After opening our baskets we decided to dye Easter eggs.  I will seriously be dying eggs for my whole life because I love doing it!

We brought 3 different types of kits this year: a candy apple kit, a metallic kit, and a chalkboard kit.  While they were all super fun to do the chalkboard kit was my favorite.

We got the chalkboard kit at Williams Sonoma (the others were from the grocery store), and it was definitely the most 'grown up' Easter egg kit I've ever seen.  I didn't realize until after my Mom boiled the eggs that the kit included tools to blow the eggs out so that you could keep them, so I landed up forgoing that step.  I really enjoyed painting each egg with the chalk paint and then drawing on them when they dried.  I'm not the best with chalk, but I was really happy with how the eggs came out.  Since we had so many different kits I have some of the chalkboard paint left over and am thinking up a project to do with it over the summer!

I thought that the other eggs came out really pretty too!  The ones to the left are from the candy apple kit, they had this awesome shiny finish to them, and the ones on the right are from the metallic kit.  The cool thing about both kits was that you did not drop the eggs in the dye, but instead painted the dye on them, which was really fun!

After dying eggs we went to my Gammy's house for a little bit, and then came home and had a delicious dinner that my Mom made.  Unfortunately since Easter is so close to the end of the semester I am swamped with work and had to work on some homework instead of helping to cook, which was a bummer.  Since I got my homework done though I was able to watch a cute Easter movie with my Mom and then I called it an early night since we have to get on the road today.  I definitely had a really nice time and cannot wait for a few short weeks and then I am home again!

How was your weekend?  Did you do anything fun to celebrate the holiday?!

Friday Confessional

One
I confess that I've been very annoyed with the fact that we had like 7 snow days in the beginning of the semester because I am now really feeling the effects from it. It has messed up all of the due dates in my classes—everything has been moved around and all of my papers are due at the same time now, which is so stressful.

 Two
I confess that when I saw these outfits I hoped that Giuliana, Emma, January, and Padma fired their stylists realized that these were not cute looks, and that they should consider staying away from anything like these in the future.

 Three
I confess that one of my favorite parts of going to a Catholic college is that we get an extra break for Easter.  Seriously it's the best.

 Four
I confess that I am loving seeing all of the pictures from the Royals trip to New Zealand and Australia.  Kate has been looking fabulous and Prince George is too freaking cute!

 Five
I confess that I'm having such mixed feelings about the end of the school year; part of me is dying to be done with all the work and another part of me doesn't want to be done because I'm sad to say goodbye to all of my friends for the summer.

*Bonus: I confess that I didn't realize that I apparently have only been thinking about school and celebrities this week.

I hope everyone has a great weekend and a Happy Easter!
