Rehoboth Beach, Delaware

Early last week my Mom and I went down to spend time with one of my sorority sisters and her family at a house they were renting in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware.  They were so sweet to invite us to stay for a few days and we had such a great time.  The house they were renting was set on the Canal and had the most beautiful views.  After checking out the house we went into town to grab a quick lunch and landed up eating at Nicola, which had great pizza.  When we finished lunch we headed back to the house and spent the afternoon in the pool chatting and enjoying all of the gorgeous scenery.

That night we walked around the main street and did a little shopping at the countless cute stores the town has to offer.  They even have a South Moon Under, one of my absolute favorite stores.  When we were done looking around we had dinner at Salt Air.  Salt Air is a farm to fresh restaurant with an extensive menu; I had the Eastern Shore Crab Cakes, basil mashed potatoes, and roasted asparagus, all of which were delicious.  Everyone at the table got something different and we all loved our meals.  If you're looking for fresh, quality food and a rustic chic setting (their decor is fabulous!) I definitely recommend getting dinner at Salt Air.

The next morning we got breakfast at the quintessential Café Papillon, a lovely French cafe with the most amazing crêpes.  I had the strawberries and whipped cream crêpe (check out my Instagram post here!) and also tried their signature sugar crêpe, both were to die for.  If you are in Rehoboth and only have time to eat at one place you absolutely have to go here, I am seriously still dreaming about how good the crêpes were.

After lunch we stopped by the beautiful North Shores Beach so I could take some photos with the DSLR camera I got for Christmas and am learning to use, we lucked out with the sunny weather and I was able to get some great shots.  In addition to the quaint shops in town, Rehoboth Beach is also home to the Tanger Outlets so when we were done at the beach we took a special trip to the Kate Spade and Nike Outlets.  The deals were definitely good and I picked up a new pair of neon pink Nike Frees, which are my favorite for when my back starts to bother me.  For lunch I may have had Nicola's pizza again, and we also all split French fries from Thrasher's, a spot that only makes fries and is famous for them (rightfully so, they were so good!).  We hung out for a bit after lunch and then my Mom and I made the trip back home.

We had such a fun time and it was so great to get to spend time with one of my best friends and her sweet family.  If you get the chance I highly recommend going to check out Rehoboth Beach, it has so much to offer in terms of shopping, restaurants and fun, and is quite charming.
