Finished Friday

Happy Friday the 13th!  While the title's a little premature because I'm done with finals on Monday, but at the end of the day I will be finished with 75% of my classes for the semester!  I cannot wait!  I just want to go home, bake Christmas cookies, hang out with my family, & snuggle Coco.  I took a little study break to put together my Five on Friday:
{1.}
Celebrity Outfits of the Week
I loved a few looks this week & with the stress of finals I didn't feel like pressuring myself to choose (which we all know I am bad at anyway).

-Adriana Lima at the Celebrating Haitian Heroes of St. Luke Foundation event in New York City.
-Allison Williams in Calvin Klein Collection at the Women in Entertainment breakfast in Beverly Hills.
-Naya Rivera in Michael Kors at the Women in Entertainment breakfast in Beverly Hills.
-Karlie Kloss in Kaufman Franco at the Victoria's Secret holiday celebration in New York City.

Victoria's Secret Fashion Show

I love love love the Fashion Show!  I realized that I have been watching it for probably 8-9 years, which is crazy!  I cannot believe that I am always surprise, & do not know how year after year they come up with the most gorgeous pieces.  I know that most people think that it's just scantily clad girls strutting their stuff, but they use the lingerie to play different parts & put together a story.  Also they always have the best performers, which only makes it better!  It's an event that I look forward to every year & really enjoy.

One thing that really bothers me though is when women watch the show to criticize the models.  It is unfair that women try to shame them for being thin & fit (even if some feel they are a little too thin), just like it is bad to shame women for being overweight.  I believe that neither should be done ever.  These women work their butts off training & eating extremely healthy to look the way they do & they deserve praise for that, not shame.  Another important thing to remember is that this is their job.  If it was my job to look like they do I would work my butt off too.  I absolutely loved Tyler's rant about how real women come in many different shapes & sizes & it is our job to accept all of them.  I also love that she points out that we work so hard to tell little girls that when they grow up they will develop curves & that they don't have to be super thin, but what about those little girls that grow up to have bodies like Alessandra, Adriana, & Candice?  They shouldn't have to feel shame for their bodies either.  Seriously you have to read what Tyler says, it is so true & I just love it.  So if you watch the show enjoy it, appreciate the beautiful lingerie, use the models as inspiration to get fit & healthy--or don't (I may have eaten cookies during the show), do whatever you want, but if you choose to watch it please do it because you want to see it, not because you want to hate on the women.

Pillsbury Gluten Free Cookie Dough

Yup Pillsbury came out with gluten free cookie dough that is amazing.  I'm a bit of a gluten free food snob because I do a lot of my own cooking/baking & have worked really hard to make things actually taste good, & I am obsessed with these.  It is so nice to have something already made that I can pop in the oven when I want fresh cookies.  If you have a gluten allergy/intolerance or Celiac or know anyone that does you need to get these ASAP!

Remember my Midterm Survival Tips from October?  They also serve as great tips for surviving finals too!  Check it out & good luck on your exams!

  3. I love VS models . it's true that everyone has got an unique shape (whether thin or fat , saying so) so criticize somebody on shape . The models are really so thin sometimes , but they put effort in it . That's it . Put in and get back.
