The Perfect Sunday For A Brunch

Yesterday my sorority had our Senior Brunch.  Thankfully it was absolutely gorgeous outside.  It was the perfect Spring day, which was so nice, it gives me hope that nice weather will be here to stay soon!

The brunch was a potluck so a my friend Lia and I (second from right above) spent Saturday night baking these homemade pop tarts.  I of course took no pictures of this though because I am a terrible blogger.  I had so much fun making them!  Ours did not come out picture perfect by any means, but they tasted good which is all that matters.  I do have to warn you though if you are looking to make them they are a little labor intensive and take a while to make.

Unfortunately right now I don't really have any of my summer clothes at school, so I didn't have any sundresses to wear for the day.  However, I was really happy because I got to wear a new skirt that I picked up at the end of last summer from Nordstrom.  The look I wore was a little different from my typical style and I absolutely loved it.

We have the Senior Brunch as a way show our appreciation for our seniors and to get to spend some time with them before they graduate.  We had the brunch in a picnic area right by my dorm, which was great because I had virtually no walk.  It was a really good time to get to hang out outside with all of my sorority sisters.

I have to be honest, I'm really sad to say goodbye to my senior friends.  Some of my closest friends in my sorority will be heading off into the real world in just a few short weeks, and it will be so weird not to have them at school and all of our events next year.  They are the most amazing girls, and I know they will be absolute superstars in the real world, but I can't help but be a little selfish and want them to stay at school.

I think we all had a good time yesterday, and it was a nice way to end the weekend.  I'm really looking forward to the next few weeks to get some extra time in with everyone before the year is over!

How was your weekend?  Did you have any big plans or did you keep it more low key?
