Tuesday Ten: Winter Skin Care

I'm not trying to be dramatic, but this lightweight facial oil is life changing.  It has seriously made an amazing improvement in my skin, it keeps it super hydrated and also helps with breakouts.  It's a game changer and I highly recommend it to help keep your skin moisturized and give it a glow.

For the past couple months my skin has been really dry (which is why I started using #1) so I replaced my morning facial cleanser with this and it has been great for very gently cleansing my skin.  This has become one of my favorite products and is perfect to clean your face for the colder months when constantly using a cleanser may be too drying.  Micellar water is great for all skin types and definitely a must try in my opinion.

For the winter you absolutely have to have a good facial moisturizer.  I got a sample of this from Sephora last winter and fell in love with it because it really hydrated my face without breaking me out.  It helps to soothe skin with anti inflammatory ingredients and comforts the driest skin.  It's on my current list of products I need to pick up from Sephora.

An exfoliant is a must have for glowing skin, it's the only way to rid your face of dead skin and debris.  I recently got a sample of this from Sephora and am completely obsessed with it, I am getting it on my next trip to the mall.  It's a powder formula that you add water to and it turns into this amazing foam-y scrub that exfoliates your face without being harsh.  It's also filled with ingredients like vitamin C to brighten your skin as well!  You'll instantly see a difference in your skin.

My lips get ridiculously dry in the winter so I always have lip balm with me and this one by Fresh is a holy grail product for me.  It has an amazing texture and keeps your lips very moisturized.  I got one for my Mom a while back and she is always raving about it.  It's a little bit of a splurge for lip balm, but well worth it and it also comes in a variety of different colors that give your lips a gorgeous tint!

I feel like in the winter I wash my hands a lot more because of all the germs going around so a great hand cream is a necessity.  This rich cream is packed with shea butter and will help you to avoid dry hands.  I love putting this on at night before bed so it can really soak in and I wake up with the softest hands.

I love coconut oil for everything from hair to skin so it's no surprise I have to have it for the winter months.  Use it as a body, hand, feet, and facial moisturizer for super soft skin and put it on your hair to make it soft and shiny.  The moisturizing possibilities with this are endless!

This is my favorite cream to put on when I get out of the shower and it helps to prevent my skin from drying out.  Shea butter works to moisturize your skin deep down and protect it from the harsh winter weather.  Right now I'm loving the Vanilla Bean Noel scent, but there's a million other scents to choose from!

Your body needs a good exfoliant just like your face to keep it soft and smooth.  Exfoliating your skin before moisturizing helps your cream to better hydrate since all of the dead skin has been removed.  I personally haven't tried this exact scrub, but I've heard amazing things about it!

I recently started using this on my nose before bed because my nose is constantly running and therefore super dry from always having to blow it.  I've tried everything on it, but nothing has worked as well as this and now I'm hooked.  This is a real 'do it all' ointment and can be used for countless things throughout the winter months to keep everything moisturized.

  5. I love coconut oil as well. I recently came across coconut oil sold in tube form for travel. Conscious Coconut gives a meal to a child in need for each tube sold.
