D.I.Y. Confetti

This past weekend I went to the Her Campus Her Conference and wanted to add a special touch to my business cards so I decided that I was going to include little bags of confetti with them because who doesn't love confetti?!  However, when I went to the craft store to find confetti I couldn't find anything other than little tiny bags of confetti that I didn't like so my Mom and I came up with the idea to make my own.  Not only was I able to customize my confetti, but I had a lot of fun making it and it made a big hit at the conference!  Read below to find out how you can make confetti too.

Supplies:
-Several sheets of different colored pastel paper
-One sheet glitter paper
-Bowl

Instructions:
-Use the 1/2 inch circle punch to punch circles in the glitter paper.  It is easiest if you do one to two full rows of circles then cut off the paper left behind that has been punched and begin again.  Collect all the circles you punch in a bowl.
-Use the 1/4 inch circle punch to punch circles in the pastel paper.  For mine I used two sheets of each pink, blue, purple and yellow (eight sheets total).  Like with the sparkle paper, it is easiest if you do one to two full rows of circles then cut off the remaining paper and begin again.  Collect all the circles you punch in the same bowl.
-Mix.
-Enjoy!

This craft is super simple, but it can be a bit time consuming, however I found it to be quite relaxing to do while I was watching TV at night and I thought the results were well worth it.  Also the best part is that you can use any color paper you choose, which means that you can make your own personalized confetti for any occasion!
