Taylor Swift 1989 Tour

On Thursday one of my sorority sisters, Maggie, texted me to ask me if I wanted to go with her to the Taylor Swift concert on Saturday night in Philadelphia, needless to say I didn't even think about it before I excitedly said 'Yes!'.  Maggie's mom was supposed to go with them, but couldn't go at the last minute and Maggie was so sweet to think of me!

We went to the show with Maggie's sister, two of her friends, and our other sorority sister Lindsay. Maggie had explained to me when she invited me that they were dressing in all black because of Taylor's new 'Bad Blood' music video, which I was so down for!  We had amazing seats and really lucked out that we were in the shade when it was still sunny out.  The opening acts were Shawn Mendes and Vance Joy, I had never heard of either before, but both were good.

Taylor went on at 9:00 when it was finally dark outside, I didn't understand why it had to be dark until I saw the incredible lighting in the show.  When we arrived at the concert we were given this bracelets that lit up in coordination to the songs and was awesome!  About halfway through the show she brought out Rachel Platten, who sang her hit song 'Fight Song,' which was such a nice surprise. Then later in the show when Taylor was singing 'Style' she brought out Mariska Hargitay to walk the runway with her, as a huge Law and Order: SVU fan I was beyond excited for this!  After two hours Taylor ended the show with 'Shake it Off', fireworks, and confetti, she really ended the show with a bang.  Throughout the entire show I was in complete awe, Taylor is truly an amazing performer!

If the 1989 World Tour is coming to a city near you I would highly recommend trying to get tickets. Taylor puts on such a memorable show and it is so much fun the entire time.  I always thought that Swift seemed like a nice girl, but I feel like after hearing her to talk to the crowd she is even sweeter than I could have imagined.  Somehow I love Taylor Swift even more after seeing this show!  Below I have all of the pictures for you that I took throughout the night.  Make sure to check out all the outfits from the show they are all so pretty!
