Skin Care & Spring Cleaning

I participated in a Blogger Activation on behalf of Millennial Central for Modere I received a promotional item to facilitate my review and to thank me for my participation.

Confession:  I'm a bit of a neat freak, I love everything to be in it's place & there not to be a crumb in sight.  However, I was not always like this, in middle school & the beginning of high school I was an absolute mess, I honestly do not know how I lived with my room.  Toward the end of high school I started to understand that things worked better when I put everything in it's place.  It was when I left for school though, & had my own space that I was responsible for keeping clean (& making sure that no critters wanted to stay in) that I started to really pay attention to keeping things clean.  My need for tidiness got even worse when I got a kitchen (living in school housing I am paranoid I am going to get a mouse!), & all of this has turned me into the neat freak I am today.

For the neat freak in me Spring cleaning is a way to make sure that I have been doing a good job keeping everything clean, & to hit those extra spots that I may forget from time to time (I'm not the best with dusting, I always forget!).  Moreover, as a beauty addict blogger I think of Spring cleaning not only in terms of cleaning my apartment, but as a way to try different beauty products & 'clean' my routine.  Every busy girl knows that it is always a huge help when you can pick up quality products for all your daily needs in one place, & that is where Modere comes in.

The newly launched Modere website (https://www.modere.com/welcome) strives to make life a little easier by carrying a wide variety of lifestyle products, from beauty & health to home cleaning, all on one site.  When Modere was kind enough to let me try some of their stuff, I of course was dying to get my hands on their beauty products.  They were very generous & sent me their Cleanser, Repairing Hair Mask, Body Bar, Toothpaste, & a sample of their Lavender with Vanilla Laundry Pods.

This very mild cleanser was made for combination skin.  It has a nice foam & is very gentle on the skin (it is even unscented!).  It is so gentle that I would compare it to something like Cetaphil.  My favorite part about this cleanser is that it uses organic ingredients, which I love.  I find this to be perfect for the morning because I like to use something that is not harsh & that will gently remove any oil to start the day fresh.  Because it is such a mild cleanser I would not recommend it for daily use for someone with very oily skin, however if your skin is normal, combination, or dry this is perfect for you.

I find this repairing hair mask to be very restoring.  It is packed full of nourishing ingredients that work to soften your hair.  I am really big on hair masks & I love ones that are very thick, which this one is.  When I used this, I shampooed my hair & then left this in for about 10 minutes while I shaved my legs.  After I finished showering & dried my hair I could definitely feel a difference & improvement in the way my hair felt.  The instructions on the back said for the ultimate treatment to leave it in overnight, & next time I use this that is what I will be doing!

This is an organically based very mild body soap with a light & fresh scent.  It is very simple, gets the job done, & did not irritate the very sensitive skin on my body.

This toothpaste has all sorts of awesome benefits.  It is fluoride free, sugar free, & flavored with essential oil of peppermint.  Unlike some toothpastes on the market it is not gritty or abrasive.  To be completely honest it did not freshen my breath as much as some other toothpastes I have tried, but I would like to pick up their alcohol free mouth rinse to use with this & I'm sure the combination would make my breath very fresh.

These adorable little laundry pods smell amazing!  They are gentle, non toxic, & hypoallergenic, which is perfect for those of us with sensitive skin.  The best part is that since they are in little pods they are way more convenient then liquid detergent, especially for lazy college students!

Overall I was really happy with the products that I received from Modere.  I definitely have my eye on several of their other products especially their Multi-Purpose Cleansing Wipes.  These wipes are free of phosphates, dyes, chlorine, & NPE, & I would love to use them when Spring cleaning or just doing my everyday cleaning.  I love Modere's focus on creating products that are useful, high quality, & healthy for us to use.  I think it's great that they strive to use organic materials & stay away from harsh, dangerous chemicals.  For all of your Spring cleaning needs (home & beauty) I definitely recommend stopping by Modere to check out all the amazing products that this one stop shop has to offer.
