If you've been reading along with me for a while then you know that last summer I really got into going to the racetrack. My interest in the track grew last year thanks to America's Best Racing, a company that works at racetracks all over the country to promote the sport of racing and show the lifestyle, fashion, and competition that are involved. My time spent at the track has taught me that horse racing is a beautiful sport that combines athletics, tradition, action, and glamour. I've learned so much from America's Best Racing and they are one of my favorite companies to work with!
Yesterday my Mom, best friend, and I went to Monmouth Park Racetrack with America's Best Racing for a day filled with horses, racing, and a lot of fun. We were lucky enough to be able to start our day with a behind the scenes tour of the stables, which is something I have never done before. We got to learn about what it is like to raise and train racehorses, see them in their stables, and even got to pet them!
I fell in love with the sweetest horse named Mulligan Singer. At first I was so nervous to touch her, but am really glad I got over that fear. I got to spend some time petting her, but when I stopped to take a picture with her and my best friend she started stomping her front foot and then leaned over and licked my arm! After that I promptly returned to giving her attention, which made her very happy. She was too cute and I wanted to keep her as my pet!
I was so happy that we got to go on the behind the scenes tour, it was definitely something I will never forget. All of the horses we met were so nice and I learned so much about the sport of racing and what goes into raising the horses. Thank you so much to America's Best Racing and our tour guide Liam for an awesome experience!
Come back Wednesday to read about the rest of my day including all of my outfit details!
