My mystylelab Haul

Have you been to Macy's lately?  If not you are missing out because they've seriously upped the ante.  The mystylelab (Macy’s female and male sections aimed at Millennials, that can be found in stores & on their website) is filled with all sorts of great brands that I was drooling over on a recent trip.  They are so serious about all the great lines that they have brought in they have launched the Macy's Campus Tour (www.macyscampustour.com) with the slogan "going from coast to coast with the brands you love."  This slogan is very true, & while wandering around the mystylelab there were so many great pieces that caught my eye.

With all the pretty pieces around you can imagine how excited I was that I had a $100 gift card (thanks to the Her Campus Blogger Network "Macy's Campus Tour" campaign) to spend!  So with all of the pieces that caught my eye I had to try on a million different things.

Among all the different brands, I was really drawn to the Bar III & Maison Jules lines in the mystylelab.  Bar III's pieces had a bit of an edge to them, while Maison Jules's are very romantic & girly.  After some time & careful consideration I finally decided on these pretty pieces.

Maison Jules (The dress is no longer online, but a dress with a similar cut is here.)

I did so well with all of the shopping, I was able to purchase $188 of clothing for just under $100 with all of Macy's amazing sales & offers.  I'm literally obsessed with each of these pieces.  I've been showing them off to all of my friends & cannot wait for it to warm up so I can wear them out!  (These pictures also come with a funny story: when I took these yesterday it was snowing so I wasn't going outside with anything less then 16 layers on, & then because it was a snow day I wasn't going anywhere so I didn't have any makeup on, so this was my photographer's (aka my Mom's) genius idea (which I loved).)

Aside from Maison Jules & Bar III, the vast range of mystylelab lines include American Rag, Material Girl, Levis, XOXO, & Jessica Simpson.  All of these lines have their own distinct style & I have a few favorite pieces from each!  If I had a little more money I surely would've picked up these pieces.

The best part about Macy's Campus Tour (#macyscampustour) is their Spin & Win Sweepstakes that will be taking place March 5th to March 30th.   For the contest, students log into the Macy’s App on their phone to spin a virtual spin wheel for a chance to win up to $500 in gift cards, & if that isn't cool enough all participants will automatically receive a 20% coupon!  You just have to download he Macy's App & click on the link for the Spin & Win Instant Game, & if this deal couldn't get any sweeter you can play up to five times a day!

So now that know that Macy's mystylelab is the ultimate destination for all your Spring fashion needs & beyond, you need to download that app so you can win some money or a discount for when you head to mystylelab to go shopping!

*I am participating in the Her Campus Blogger Network "Macy's Campus Tour" campaign.  I received a Macy's gift card to facilitate my post, however all opinions are my own.

Today I'm linking up with Glossy Blonde & Karly Kim.

Oscars 2014 Gowns

Before fashion we must talk about Ellen, she was freaking hilarious.  Like laugh out loud, pee your pants hilarious.  Big kudos to whoever made her host.  Did you retweet the most amazing selfie ever?  I contributed to 'breaking Twitter'!  How could you not?!  I just loved her & she has my vote for host again next year.

Now onto all the prettiness of the night!  Let's be honest here, the Oscars are the SuperBowl for the fashion obsessed.  Thankfully last night did not disappoint & there were a lot of people on the winning team.  There were so many gorgeous gowns that it was honestly hard to narrow down my best dressed, not that I did too much narrowing.  There were also a few misses though, one in particular that was just really bad was Pharrell in those Lanvin shorts!  I'm not sure what's worse the shorts or Vivienne Westwood hat?!  I love Pharrell & his performance was amazing, but he's just killing me with his fashion choices of late.  Well, while I try to forget about his bad fashion here is my not so short list of all the amazing fashions from last night.

Giuliana Rancic in Paolo Sebastian
This was the first dress I saw & I fell in love, it was perfection!  I hope everyone saw when she showed off her shoes on the E! pre-show, they were a girl's dream--so sparkly & pretty!
Kristen Bell in Roberto Cavalli
I love the shape of this dress, the construction on the top, & the different textures.  This is a great color & the minimal accessories work really well.
Jessica Biel in Chanel Couture
You can't go wrong with Chanel!  Jessica looked stunning & very ethereal in this.
Kate Hudson in Atelier Versace
To me this screams Hollywood glamour, Kate was the epitome of a movie star in this gown.  However, I do have to say I liked it much better when she took off the the shoulder topper/cape thing to present.

Angelina Jolie in Elie Saab Haute Couture
This looked fabulous on her, the color, the cut, everything!  I also love that she did long sleeves, long sleeve gowns are my favorite.
Naomi Watts in Calvin Klein Collection
Simplicity at it's best, from head to toe this was such a chic look.
Jenna Dewan-Tatum in Reem Acra
I think my favorite part about this one was the bottom, but I loved it all.  I know you may think I'm crazy, but for some reason this reminds me of her wedding dress a little bit.

Chrissy Teigen in Monique Lhuillier
At first I wasn't a huge fan of this, but then the more I thought about it I liked how she went for something different with the pattern, & I loved the cut of the gown, & the pocket detail!
Jennifer Lawrence in Dior Couture
She looks perfect & I expected nothing less.  (If I had one small complaint though it was the color, I thought it was too similar to the color of her Oscars 2011 gown).
Camila Alves-McConaughey in Gabriela Cadena
Even though Matthew McConaughey won best actor, his beautifully outfitted wife stole the show from him when they walked the red carpet.  This dress had such gorgeous construction, & was a great color.

Olivia Wilde in Maison Valentino
So pretty!  I couldn't stop gushing all night about how beautiful she looked.  She was glowing & I really loved how she accessorized.
Kerry Washington in Jason Wu
While I loved her dress, I think her hair & makeup was my favorite part of her whole look!
Julia Roberts in Givenchy Haute Couture
I know some people are over peplums, but I'm still loving them, especially this one.  I also really like the lace, & the detailing at the neckline.

Amy Adams in Gucci
Another gown that was so simple, but so gorgeous.  This was such a great color on her.
Lupita Nyong'o in Prada
I cannot say enough about how much I love this dress!  I have been obsessed with Lupita's style all Award Season & was elated with her decision; the color, the silhouette, everything just looked amazing.
Sandra Bullock in Alexander McQueen
This dress had gorgeous architecture, & she looked stunning!  I was so happy that she did a little something different with her hair, I feel like a lot of times she just wears it straight, but I loved the curls.

So what did you think of all the fashion?  What did you think of the show?  What did you think of all the winners?!

I thought it was such an amazing show & already cannot wait for next year's!  Here's to hoping Ellen's the host!

The Challenge

I've really been really wanting to do a blogging challenge & have been searching high & low for one that I liked.  I finally came across one on Pinterest that I decided was the one for me.

I picked this one because I genuinely liked all of the topics that were listed for each day.  Unfortunately the blog that this challenge came from is no longer up, but I have linked the Pinterest pin above.  I want to put a disclaimer that this is not going to be a consecutive challenge, this is more of a post 'bucket list' for the next few months.  I know I would not be able to forgo posting about the Oscar fashions, or beauty products, or something else that really sparks my fancy so on those days I will take a day off from the challenge.  I am going to try to blog on both weekend days, but I know that that might not work out so I will just pick up where I left off the next day.  I am doing this in a very relaxed way, as something fun to spark my creativity, & to challenge me to write about certain topics.  I hope you all enjoy it as much as I plan to!

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I've been here for a little over 8 months & while you can hop over to my About Me page (which I am in the process of redoing a bit), I love the idea of reintroducing myself a bit.  Without further ado here we go!

This is just a little reintroduction of myself!  I cannot wait to share more over the next month or so with this challenge & would love for all of you to join me.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Today I am also announcing the launch of the Crumbs & Curls Photo a Day Challenge!  This is a challenge for everyone to post a month's worth of pictures on their Twitter or Instagram accounts.  I've always loved these & am beyond excited to have created one of my own.  Basically you just have to take a picture for each day (on your first day do #1, on your twentieth day do #20), post it to Instagram, Twitter, or both, & include #CCPHOTOADAY so we can all see each other's pictures!

This is all set up to fit on Instagram!  If you just save it as the original size you will be good to go!  I did not date this so that everyone can start whenever they want & it is not specific t to a month.  I hope that everyone can enjoy this as much as I will & I cannot wait to see everyone's posts!
